Anyone know of a BST shell on Bahamut? A guy in my current shell just went off on a rampage about how BSTs suck and he has no respect for me because I'm playing BST. Not really looking forward to that all the time while leveling =(

We claimed this HNM and just barely took him down. Fight took over an hour.

I'm in a slump at BST39 now. I just can't seem to find a decent place to level at. I just tried the casm but I couldn't get any rythme going (maybe in the wrong spot?), tried Miseraux with bees on gigas but those bees couldn't last on the T gigas and most of the gigas conned as IT. I'm thinking about just farming EP spiders in altepa until I ding 40 or try SSG again. You guys got any suggestions?

I'm trying to remember where I went at 39 and it was either Yuhtunga Jungle at (E-9) or in Sea Serpent Grotto. I used this guide and this guide while I was leveling. Pretty much every place that I leveled was taken from one of these guides.

im lvl 15 wopud; ot be best for me to try to get a party or just tyr to solo? the tough dhmeals are workign but most the time there DC or VT and im kinda poor so ant gil tips for a young bst to try to get +chr gear (im a taru) or should i use the gear i have (non of which gives me +chr) my gear right now is
amour is brass
rings is +2 dex (b/c my sam uses them and i cant afford +chr rings)
wepon is my axe for that lvl
and battle gloves.
what shoudl i get and shoudl i take tiem to farm for the stuff? in 3 lvls my firend will lend me monster signa

Well, I know a lot of BSTs that party from 10-35 then party and solo/duo/trio to 75. Personally, I soloed 100% of the time 1-50 then did the occasional duo/trio 50-75. I'm really against BSTs partying because they don't learn the skills they will need later to solo. A BST who partied a lot on the way to 75 will not have close to the amount of skill that a BST who soloed to 75.

I've got more goodness to inspire then

So I had nothing to do really so as I posted before I was messing around in Attohwa Chasm. Labyrinth of Onzozo was close by so I thought I'd swing by. I went in, kept checking Wide Scan, nothing special. I decided to camp Ose for a bit just for shits. I couldn't really use an Assault Jerkin but I thought why the hell not, don't really have anything to do. I camped him for about an hour, maybe close to two, and he didn't pop. There was an RMT party there that were killing the Torama placeholders so when I did log back on more than two hours later, there he was sitting unclaimed. On my first attempt, this resulted.

Ose: 1 - Neurotic: 0



And early on in the camp their PLD and I had a nice talk.



Everything was going well until I aggroed a previous pet, so it had TP. It paralyzed me and when I tried to Leave my pet paralyze kicked in and you can see what happened from there. The RMT party had to log out because I died with Ose on me right at there camp, so he didn't depop since he's an NM. It killed one of them then they slept it and all logged out. When they logged back on, I kept asking them for a Raise since I forgot to put Reraise on. They all didn't respond until one responded "no." This royally pissed me off because usually I'm total assholes to RMT parties, but I didn't do anything to this party at all while I was camping Ose. Their PLD had even Provoked a Goblin off me that had aggroed me. When I saw the "no" I immediately turned on them. I homepointed then came all the way back and pulled Ose to their camp and logged out. When I logged back on, their WHM was dead and both their Torama and Ose were slept. I had gotten enough revenge on them at that point just from wasting their time. I reclaimed Ose and started to fight and everything went flawlessly.

Now at this point Ose was at 1% as you can see with TParty. Three of the six RMT party had followed me, with invisible, to the opposite tunnel just to try to attempt to steal it from me. Ose had often gone yellow throughtout the fight but it didn't really matter because it hit their PLD for almost 200 a hit and they would have wiped at anything more than 25%. I made sure to keep it red with short distances between pets. Early on in the fight I left huge huge gaps between pets to account for possible mischarms, which luckily didn't happen once.



Then I rubbed it in their faces. No Assault Jerkin though.

Hmm.... I was planning on camping Ose some time soon. Great, now I'll have to check to make sure you're not there Hurry up and get the drop already.

Oh I'm done with Ose probably. It was just a spur of the moment kind of thing.

Hmm I don't really know. I wanna try Ancient Goobbue solo but he wasn't up when I checked today. I also wanna try Guivre in a duo since I think it'd be way to hard solo especially with Easy Prey pets.

Well, whan I said partying I meant like "WHM, RDM, BLM, PLD, WAR, BST" etc. partying as in standard setups. 6x BST would still be fine, if not better, at teaching BST the skills they new imo. As long as the party is 1 BST to 6 BST, as long as its all BST, then I'd personally say thats you are leveling like a true BST.

My BST is only 20-something, but I never partied on it and if I ever level it further, I don't plan to. It just seems like that's the whole point to playing the job, why would you want to do it any other way?
