I haven't done this event yet, but is there a monopolization/overcharging of Inks and Parchment now? >:3

Worst event ever ;__; I've been trading items for an hour and still have yet to get it, I'm going to punch his snorting face.

I don't care about the dumb club, can I get the painting without dealing with Bugards?

My friend is doing it right now and sees them in Qufim.

^ Unfortuantely pathwriter, you must get the 'dumb club' for you to get a panting. ;p
The club is certainly dumb because I have been whacking monsters with nothing special happening. Im guessing its something stupid like "enhances the duration of buffs given by the Bugards".

I just received my "Hoary Spire" painting and was running some tests with it in my Mog House.
I can confirm that it does indeed give Moghancement: Money, the in-game description of which is:
Moogle-powered assistance from your Mog House. Increases your luck with money.
Hmm... not sure what that *means* exactly. Could be a Gilfinder-type thing, I suppose. Would need to test that. I can confirm however that the "Hoary Spire" painting has an elemental strength of 3 - a bit low compared to most Furnishings. Would take some good MH designing to maintain the Moghancement if you have pretty much anything in your MH right now. (My personal advice, if you want this enhancement but have mannequins or whatnot, is to flood your MH with Yellow Jars, and also make sure you don't have any other Earth-element Furnishings besides the jars, flowerpots, and the painting.)

Happy New Year!
Have you heard the news, adventurers?
Herds of a certain type of beast have been seen traipsing across every area of Vana'diel.
Where have they come from, and what do they want?

The old man "keeps in...contact...with little boys and girls all across Vana'diel!" with his linkshell. The little kids learn "secrets" from the old man "as long as I call him 'Grandpa' and do whatever he says!" The gift is clearly a spanking paddle. The old man admits he taught the kids how to carve them. He also admits to whooping and hollering at the sight of the Star Sybil's legs; he calls her "a real swinger".

I think I gave away a dozen or so Ginger Cookies before I got my gift. I don't know why people give them expensive crap when there's so much cheap crap available.

The club looks perfect for BLU job learning magic-does just enough harm to build the mob's TP without killing it before it can use it. I still use my Lotus katana for the same purpose.
