[orange]Shojuken[/orange]: Created by Sylis in October 2003 (PC release). Other ls leaders included Anongod, Rapiddream, Micams, Camaska, Paynekiller, Cozmo. Consisted mainly of players who originally participated in Beta test. Continued to grow with PS2 release. 100+ members. Probably one of the largest and oldest NA linkshells on carby. For a while a Shojuken II existed to make room for all the members. Has remained primarily a socail ls aimed at helping newer players. People continued to come and go for years up until fall 2006 when some drama caused a deep split in the ls. Many members left and formed a new ls. Very few original members remain in Shojuken today. Notable members: Soulessknight, Bearwoof, Merrick, Grahamtwo, Stiltz (got kicked in less than a week), Destruct (didnt remember this till looking through old old member list LOL), Mythre (is it a he or a she? haha), Snarf, Terria (supposedly?), Coloud (the original /random casino >.>), and of course, Juib (nuib ; !

Juli definitely was 75smn way before Narim which hit 75 couple months later when i did with blm. Not sure about Arcan though.

Draconix- Possible first NA PLD to 75

I know he was the first NA to hit 60 and get PLD AF. hardly plays anymore, and still has my lvl 50 PLD armor set (he's borrowing for CoP)

Prolly wouldn't have been steered onto PLD w/o being in his linkshell, CarpeNoctem (where lots of somewhat famous players came from. Like Zebekis, Ariana, Lordender, Unholy, etc.) so I thought it was worth mentioning. I'll have to double check when he gets back.

Edit: Also, there was that Pick up party of BSTs and SMN that killed Tiamat a few months back. they count? lol

My first HNM shell was Celestialcapital led by Palidor. Not sure of dates he would have to post. Most noted thing for this shell was Palidor helping about 30 members get to sky in 1 weekend. I think they made it to ZM8 the first day. Notable members: Palidor, Arikajumoni, Aleem, Blitzy, Argonom, Kaminiari, Hikiri, so many others I can't remember.

Kalm-

Original ls leader was Kewico. Formed the shell with raidek and pepino and a few other EQoA people that came to FFxi. Wingchild was recruited early on. The shell grew in size and then clique caused the shell to branch off into 2 or 3 other shells. Kalm still remained.

As time went on Kewico decided he wanted to return to EQoA and broke the kalm pearl. Raidek tyhen reformed. It was done in a terrible manner and without any real warning, so it was a struggle to find and re-pearl people. Raid had more rl responsibilities (new child born) and slowly played the game less and less. Finally they gathered all of Kalm and broke the linkshell the proper way. Wingchild took over.

Wingchild merged the shell with skulkingpermit (zoey's shell iirc). They kept the Kalm name. For the most part we did AF quests and many other 50-70ish quests and killing various NMs. Kalm was also one of the few shells really getting into CoP missions and he constructed several guides of our experiences. We were right behind Foodmonsters as far as mission success went. We were one of the first NA groups to hit sea iirc, back when most shells were still stuck on the memmets because they were oh so impossible.

Got most of this from a post Wing made about the history of Kalm long ago. Wing has since stepped down and the shell has decreased in size a great deal. Arclight took over. I was no longer in the shell for the last bit. Last I heard Arclight had to leave the game for one reason or another. I imagine the remaining senetors have taken over, but I don't know if they have one leader atm.

In closing I think Wing put it best when describing what kalm was:

Kalm is and was and will be a collection of friends. With a little luck we'll have all the finest people under one roof together, sharing in victories and laughter everywhere we go.

Someone else can probably give more current and up to date information. I think I covered the history part well enough.

The only "NA" 75 PUP I know is Jrunk so if we're looking for a name, give that to him.

ok another update... i added an "era" of lorekeepers>jazz>inferno>paragon>fabled. it'll be nice if we could link every linkshell in "era" groups to show mergers and how certain LS' came to be.

btw if anyone has a problem with the details i'm posting for example, why some linkshells broke or something... let me know, either here or in PM. I'm not trying to offend anyone, and this isn't a topic for flames I'm trying to describe everything in an un-biased, newspaper like fashion.
