LS: Inferno
Was formed before I even played, so I am unable to give you details about that, maybe Saqqy will grace these boards with her presence in order to provide you with more details, as she was leader afaik (I can tell you that the Linkshell Inferno Xanga Blogring was started on 7/17/2004, but how close that was to the formation of the shell, I do not know). Octoberish? 2004 when Saqqara stopped playing (for the most part, the first time!) Enjou took over leader of the shell, until he left for Foodmonsters. Saqqy came back for a short time, and then asked me to take over the shell, maybe January 2005. At the same time, while Saqqara was leader for the second time, we took in most of the members from another shell, the name of which escapes me (but included Domonick, so he'd know) and shortly after Saqqara entrusted Inferno's leadership to me. I attempted to lead Inferno as best I could til I left in May 2005, also for Foodmonsters. Unable to find a suitable leader, Inferno was finally extinguished in shell, but I still like to think that some of my closest lsmates will always be Inferno for life. It was a good shell, that went through to many changes too quickly, but none-the-less, was a shell I was always proud to be a part of.

This is a neato thread, Pergo. I'd like to contribute the story of the toon "Aquetas". I remember buying FFXI shortly after NA release simply because of the "Final Fantasy" title on the box. Originally, "Aquetas" was a hume BLM on Leviathan, but I hated hume and I hated BLM so I quit. A month later I started again as an Elvaan (w00t) and was placed on the Carby server (<3). Coincidentally a good friend of mine had been randomly placed on the same server as me, Ragdar. Ragdar led a linkshell named DragonBlade, which eventually became Apocalypse. So the first pearl I ever put on was a DragonBlade pearl. A week or two later, before I had subjobs I got a pearl to a LS named Lorekeepers. LK was a new LS that came from the broken LS Regulators, which happened to be a spawn off the original "Foodmonster" (no -s, this may be a little inaccurate, Malaga can confirm.) LK was run by a dude named Etola, a RL friend of Malaga's, and became my main LS. After a while, I think it was Saqqara (SHAKEEEEEERA!) who created some drama and the LS broke. Malaga took everyone that wasn't a dick and formed Jazz, which eventually became Paragon. Paragon has had an interesting timeline. Early in it's time we merged with a LS called Godshand. Some of the GH members broke off later and formed Madness, which became parts of Skillz and Asgard. Later we became a harbor for players ditching their Divine pearls. A lot of those people left us and went, ironically, to Asgard. Recently a new LS called Fabled has broken off of us and it is led by Soprano. What is left is the Paragon we have today.

Here are the names of some old school peeps that come to my mind when reminiscing, whether they were people I leveled with or just had friendly encounters with.

WAR:
Morracoo - I used to have a screenshot of my PLD and Morr's WAR leveling in Qufim, but that hard drive took a shit ; ;. Morr leveled fast as fuck and it was always hard to keep up.
There weren't many WARs that I could think of, as it wasn't a very popular job back then.

MNK:
Shib - There were 2 DDs who never failed at taking hate from me. One was Morracoo's WAR/THF, and the other was this dickhead MNK named Shibunaki. Go smoke some dro {Plantoid Killer}.
Lightz - He was JP, but he was a cool guy.
Zehl - He quit, what a noob.

THF:
Jilten - I payed the mercenary Jilten 5k for the Eldieme Necropolis Coffer Key that opened my Gallant Gauntlets quest. I think he was a 71 THF at the time.
Royboy - cool guy.

WHM:
Vesarn - My favorite WHM to lvl with.
Arowyn - She let me sit at 200 HP a lot.. on purpose.
Deadlier - Leveled with him and Bane together a lot.

RDM:
Shadowfax - I got a raise from this 62 RDM in Qufim from this kid. She was the 1st NA passed 60 I ever talked to.
Gdansk - <3 for Gnoob.

BLM:
Alliomean - Our first high level BLM in Jazz/Paragon. I remember the day he got his Ice Staff for 1.1 mil. Speed belts were 5-6 million around the same time.

PLD:
Syrox - This guy was the reason I leveled Paladin. He our highest PLD at 50 in Jazz, but he was leaving for military purposes. So I picked up Paladin for the linkshell. He leveled faster than a BRD. Joined PN before quitting.
Crazyhorsetoo - Was always the same damn level as me no matter how much I lvled. Transferred servers iirc.
Vashl - Okay, nobody liked Vashl. He was a pompous dickhead who talked out of his ass way too much. But he was a good buddy to me, made me laugh and was actually a pretty good PLD.
Jefian - My first gay love.
Tigerheart - Anyone that knew Tigerheart can tell you that he was the shit. He was the leader of Godshand before he quit. If Malaga wasn't such a great leader, I would have wanted this guy leading my shell.
Ragdar - My RL buddy, with me from day one. He quit for WoW, who does that? srsly...

DRK:
Badazz - My favorite DD of all time. He was the shit.
Agenor - Another one of the first 60+'s I knew. The God of Galka, Agenor.
Shylocke - Baralai's butt buddy, this guy was/is incredibly funny. An awesome person to level with back when it took 20k per level passed 51.
Joebattle - lol joeaggro.
Iceygamer - A close friend of Ragdar's, so a friend by association. I learned a lot from him. I remember being in awe, looking at his Optical hat. Was one of the first few NA DRKs to 75.

RNG:
Riovane - Just a name that pops into my head back in the days of arrow burns.
Baralai - Shylocke's counterpart. Was a blast to lvl with.
Grifter - His WAR was 75 back when FF7 came out, so I never got to lvl with it. But I did level with his RNG and I saw him put his Ohat on for the 1st time on this job.
Homiedee - More arrow burns
Jmilla - Elvaan power packed into a hume. Awesome RNG, maybe one of the best.

DRG:
Malaga - He was never a ninja in my eyes.
Bane - Yes... Bane has DRG lvled.

BRD:
Veovis - He still plays, going on 104 years old now I think.
Agenor - He could keep 4 raptors slept at a time in the Valley of Sorrows. Gangster shit... got me my 1st chain 6 on his BRD.
Crazybadboy - Piece of shit tarutaru. One of the first NA 75 BRDs. I still like CBB even though he's a big wanker.

BST:
I never really knew any BSTs except for the famous Beeble and Beezle duo.

NIN:
Reminum - Way back in the day, a Lv72 Remi and Lv66 Juliano duoed the Shadowlord for Badazz and myself. I remember Remi talking about how Perfection had done the Blade: Ku WSNM the night before. I guess he was the 1st NA with Ku, but he made the soloable fight out to be a big epic battle haha.

SAM:
Aileen - I leveled with her a lot before I realized she led a linkshell lol. Great SAM.
Mutsuhiko - What a cunt.

SMN:
Juliano - Although I doubt he remembers, he killed SL for me a long time ago.
Arcan - Used to be horrible at main healing.

Skillz members: Nighteshade and Arowyn were the leaders. Roster consisted of Vade, Aristotali, Pyree, Tatto, myself, Sirgoosealot, Dagmar, Ghanima, Alamias, I'm forgetting others, screenies are on a disc somewhere of names and events.

Later Skillz split, creating a short live ls (forgot name), then that shell reformed as Asgard with Dagmar, Ghanima, Alamias as leaders.

First LS for me was Truefriendship which had all my RL friends in it. We did Missions and stuff together. Also whored my th2 @ lvl 45 for coffer keys XD. After awhile ppl started to quit, because RL stuff. LS became real small. So Hung had an idea of Merging LS with 9inch. He pulled it off, Truefriendship + 9Inch became Skybreakers. Hung was Leader of SB. At first SB was a social/friends ls that helped each other out. Then we started to pearl friends/recuit ppl. So the ls started to get kinda big, ppl wanted sky items so ls changed to a sky ls. About a year of doing sky ppl started to do PMs and get sea. SB then became sky/sea ls for many months. Things were going great we had tons of ppl with sea access so we started to do jailers getting good drops and shit. Hung quit the game b/c of real life stuff, at this point i thought SB was going to break. But lucky! SB will last alittle bit longer with Tam, Tieubao and Yeret leading SB. But sadly SB started to die out. RL stuff, ffxi becoming boring, ppl getting f'ed over by friends and in my case wanted to do hnm stuff. Now SB merged with another ls making Heros. (Forgot the ls they merged with)

So about me!
Applied to FM and got rejected, applied to VFS and got accepted woot <3. Then we changed pearl color/name to VFSvII.
