Hi all, I am doing a Zilart mission 4, but how to reset the hate on Tonberry? since I tried to follow the guide which require me to trade three gold beatcoins to NPC in Norg, but this NPC don't accept it and always saying ".... I have seem you have no trouble on Tonberry...." My mission log required me going to temple to search a strange things.... By the way , I had already talked to the leader and got the chamber key. So, anyone can tell me I just go to temple for something or still need to trade coins to that NPC????

well im just lvl 7 but i think that u dont have any hate from the tonberry :| i dunno

you only need to reset hate if u killed lots of tonberry's before...

their special move 'everybody's grudge' is based on how many tonberry's you've killed (hate level) it can be very very deadly... and u need a full alliance of 65s at least and must kill many tonberry's for ZM4

Hate reset is easy (not cheap always depending how many 'berries you've killed). To begin the quest you have to have killed 1 Tonberry. Speak to Magephaud in Norg by the staircase and he'll ask you to bring him 3 gold beastcoins. These can be obtained in EXP, stealing off top tier beastmen, or bought off AH. Give to the NPC, and from there head out to Uggaleppi~

On the first map when you zone in, head down to (F-11)... or if you have no map, hug the left wall until you're there :3 At the southern wall there's a hidden door (you'll target a .) Open it (beware there's 2-3 tonberry that walk around) and talk to the Tonberry NPC. He'll tell you how much it'll cost to clean your rancor (mine's usually 5k... but I kill these things a *lot*... and don't reset hate often :3).

As for JM4 itself, it's fairly easy. There's 3 Tonberry- a SMN, a BLM, and a THF. Kill the THF (one with the crown) first. Then the BLM, then the SMN-- SMN last because it's 2h is the deadliest.

Reason hate reset is so important: my PLD who didn't reset his hate took over 5500dmg from Everyone's Rancor (which is Everyone's Gruge +1). ":3

your tank will most likely die in the ZM4 fight. everyone's rancor is instant, unblockable, and unless someone's chainspell stunning, your tank will die. once he dies, raise 2/3 him and have the other 4 teammates finish the other tonberries off.

actually I just did ZM4 recently, after you trade the 3 gold beastcoins to the npc in norg (go to quests to figure out who, I don't feel like looking it up right now), zone into the temple of uggalepih. Make a right at the first intersection, then through the next 2 rooms there will be another T, make a left, so you're heading south. At the end of that corridor (with a room or two on your right) there is a square room with a door to your right that contains the room for drg AF3 and the Death from Above spawn. In that square room there is another room in the middle that you can only open with the key from the npc in norg (I apologize if I make no sense, I'm tired and going from memory here). When you open the door the tonberry priest will demand gil from you, and when you pay it he'll reset your Everyone's Grudge (and more importantly Everyone's Rancor) hate to 0.

After you reset your hate in preparation for ZM4, call for help on every tonberry you fight. If you call for help on them, they won't add to your grudge hate. Using this method I got hit by Everyone's Rancor for a whopping 27 damage. Astral Flow is a different story... but I digress.
