one thing im dissapointed in is Drawdistance 2.0. i tried using it a billion times and it still wont set for me.
i type in the correct codes of .drawdistance setmap #5 and it just looks blocked out and cut out as if it were worse. i dont
know if if PoLutilities might have anything to do with it, but idk. i just want my old drawdistance back ;;

Yes it is, which is also the area that you see in the opening cutscene of the game (thus at least up to CoP's sake it allowing the storyline to go full circle)

regedit your bg to 2048x2048, your normal res to whatever. mipmaping as much as you like, i have it on 2. use draw distance and set it to 5+. change shadows in ffxi menu to high, enable weather effects. change fraps to save ss as .png. find a nice spot, take a ss. manualy convert the png with any image prog to a jpg. don't go below 80%. that's it.
