Just a quick question for all the BLU's that frequent here.. I was told a while ago (About 2 months after blu release) that if you did not have access to sea, you would be gimping yourself horrendously as a BLU.

Is this true? I don't have the friends/time to get sea access at the moment..

tbh Sea is not that hard to get, just shout in Whitegate,
there are always people who need the one your on.
i got from 2.5 >> CoP Complete in 2 weeks, its not too hard rly.

Ok lets consider the following without sea you lose, a chance at a cheap auto-refresh combo, two overkill spells one for xp/merit the other for HNMs, an Incredible ring ( Rajas specifically ) a really valuable neck peice ( Soil gorget though some might argue thunder ) a chance at Homam ( which is without a doubt our endgame gear ) an Earing that is very useful upon completion of certain criteria, oh and lest we forget an incredible story that surpases both Zilart and aht urghan missions in temrs of epic scale.
Look you can dig through the myriad of similar posts of vermin making excuses as to why they dont want to get sea, but the truth is yes without it you are gimping yourself completely.

Seriously, this job is so time-consuming and so much effort, if you're not going to bother with CoP you might as well skip over spells like and Mandibular Bite(OMG its all the way out in Attohwa Chasm, no one will ever help me with that!) and Refueling (omg I don't have Halvung staging point and the expansion has been out almost a year!).

If you're not going to get Sea, then don't run around forums badgering people to give you the OK not to do it. Who the fuck cares? Most BLUs than will admit it hit lv. 75 without sea and more BLUs than will admit it have had 75 for the longest and still don't have sea. Fucking hell, man, just do the shit if you're so morally inclined to do so.

eh not quite, CoP and Zilart are done with in terms of new missions. ToAU is still in its beginning chapters, though its starting to get interesting. just a thought, anyone think we will encounter the Serpent King Zahak at some point?

Actually BLU don't need Disseverment because Hysteric Barrage is pretty damn good.

And yes like everyone here says you don't need sea spells. Sea just makes you HQ, but if your a bad player you will still be a bad player with HQ stuff while a great player with NQ will be better.
