Believe me, boosting your offhand damage by 50% makes up for it being "Sluggishly slow".

For those people who "live religiously by online data" thought I might as well ask the obvious question since that was basically what you were saying. My P.Harpe has been gathering dust with my S.Kukri for a long ass time. Just thought it would be worth clarifying for some people. "/slap"

In context one knows full well that statement of mine you quoted was referring to post 68 daggers vs. pre 68 daggers. Morons who think that at level 68 you should be wielding a Harpe and subbing anything pre 68 because of the delay is fucked in the head.

I'd use a P harpe if I had one. But that's only because I don't have a Batardeau, X's or Mandau.

Ecphoria Ring
lvl 49 all jobs/all races
Accuracy +4
Store TP +1
Enchantment: Cure amnesia
Rare

i think might be a decent alternative to snipers/woodsman ring.
1 less accuracy for store tp could be neat, also price is only about 50k on my server

I just started playing as a THF I was wondering if there was any crafts that I should level up as a THF? I heard thiefs use bolts alot so should I level WW to save gil? Any suggestion would be great.

unless you farm you own mats your not going to save much. Including the cost of lvling WW you will spend alot

Woodworking is quite lucrative if you go logging, but the areas you get the good stuff in are so dangerous, id say worse than trying to farm ifrits used to be

I only pop in very occasionally as I don't play anymore but if this guide needs to be updated would someone tell me how so?

I'd like to recommend Patroclus's Helm for a lvl 60 head piece addition. I've been using it since 60, and it stacks nice with Swift Belt, Bravo's Subligar, and Rapparee Harness for an early haste build.

Rare/Ex
DEF: 21
STR +2
Evasion -5
Haste +2%
Enmity -5
Lv. 60 WAR / THF / PLD / DRK / BST / BRD / DRG

Hidden Effect
Enhances "Arcana Killer" effect

Makes a nice piece of TP equipment only, not a weapon skill piece (or a solo piece really with the -evasion.)

editting Patroclus's Helm into the guide. I've been away for a while so i'll be slowly updating this if there's anything new that's come out.

for newest section:

Cuchulain's Mantle - Best for TP, and prolly for SAWS(multihit at least)

for TA build, dont forget Emp pin and enkidu's Cap for head slot.

Also, I'd suggest explaining dagger combinations a little better, otherwise people might end up with X's/PHarpe just following the list from right to left >.>;

Dusk Gloves+1 is prolly > Homam

for WS equips section, I'd suggest a seperate list for each WS, as they all gear slightly differently. Or at least a one for DE+EV and a seperate one for SB+Stab

I explained the dagger combinations earlier in the guide but you're probably right that it's best to explain it again. There's an issue with Dusk +1 and Homam gloves which i'm pretty sure I looked up. With at 92% accuracy and max haste in all other slots (excluding body) with bard songs and haste (spell) I think Dusk pips the post, but the lower your accuracy the more Homam is doing for you.

I'll run some numbers on it but you're probably right.

i'll add in Those TA pieces and i'll separate out DE/EV from SB/Mstab

Mirke Waldecors with +3 DW and +10 Acc for /nin sub is considered the best TP piece isnt it?

No. You're taking +3 DW over +2.5% 3A and +12.5 acc over 15 acc. I don't quite see how that's a great improvement on Homam Corazza.

+3 DW is 3% increased damage over a period of time. 2.5% 3A is 5% more damage regardless of how many hits as it is an effect that can proc on any swing.

According to wiki homam is only 1% 3A?

Also there was a post saying that in terms of attack speed the mirke gave .1 second faster swing than raparee, but also gave the 12.5 acc, which is only 2.5 less than homam.

I am just going off what the mirke wardecor post said.

wiki also says that Loquacious EArring only gives 1% fast cast. Whilst believable i've been on THF/NIN with no other fast cast gear and i've been getting suspicously less than 30 seconds on my Ichi recast. (more like 27)

I always used to hear in this forum that Homam was 2.5%. I'd test it if I had the tools to do so. As far as the raperee test, was that with haste and songs and other haste gear? 4% increased haste when you've got 0 on you gives 4.1% DPS boost. 4% haste when you've got the spell, both marches and other haste gear (W.Turb/Swift/Homam x3) is a 9.3% DPS boost. Mirke with /nin and suppa gives 3% on top of the 20% youve got which is 3.9% boost in DPS and 6.5% accuracy. I think this probably beats the raparee then :/ Still not convinced on the homam though.

Before Dragon Harness, what Body piece would you use to WS in?

Sharbite i was thinking the Black/Blue cotehardie, but Im kinda struggling to find something decent for Dancing Edge since the cotehardies have -CHR. Using Scorpion Harness at the moment for the acc boost, but I seem to be landing all hits fairly well with sushi, bard and dagger merits. Was thinking of Assault Jerkin. Any other suggestions?
