ok ill start things off, first we all should know staffs give 10%/15% NQ/HQ powers on nukes

they aslo let us land spells like sleep easier , darkstaff for sleeps.

but do they give more acc on nuke spells? if you use ice staff on say thunder IV what is better for resists only? ice or thunder?

I'm gonna have to say that they do have accuracy for that element, more with the HQ version

The thing that irks me is each staff seems made for a job, e.g. earth for pld, water for whm, wind for thf, etc. Who the hell equips their thf with a staff? Ice is obviously for blm, but the invisible elem bonus associated with each staff is better than INT+4 coupled with Elemental magic skill +10. :wall I guess it's just a throwback from when the staves were first introduced, and so rare very few were able to get them all.

Am I the only one getting tired that we need to repost things like that over and over again? I mean, when I was leveling myself BLM, long ass time ago, I read these things. By now you'd think people got some common sense now and learned the lesson.

In the "BLM level by level" we should put that staves are almost the only thing a BLM should aim for a weapon, in means of powering the nukes. Idk, something that doesn't end up making people like Wrish make those comments and poison the new generations.

In order for a staff change to be an improvement it'd need to cause _more_ than a 15% change in resists.
There are few mobs in the game that give more than a 15% resist rate.
Most (all?) of the ones that do are HNMs which makes testing challanging.

for a 75 blm it is hard to test yes but back whe we fought IT mobs it was not.

like i said in the oter thread i wached other blm get lots of resists on free nukes where I didn't

Is there a way to search threads made by me on BLM forum or make a serch for "FAQ" in thread title? I still do not get the new KI search format, this is the only thing I think that was a downgrade from the old version, I had no problem finding stuff with the old KI search.

No i do not know how to get it what i want it to do. I can not make it list only topics made by me or find threads with the letters "FAQ" somewhere in the title, it wants more exact wording or something... I do not know old KI one was better.
