yeah exactly as the title says,

i quit ffxi back in december and just came back a few days ago. checked the VCS chocobo trainer NPC in my town, and now i'm stuck in an endless series of cutscenes. on Day 102 of cutscenes now after pressing "OK" to the damn dialog for an hour straight. if i force-close the program and log back on, talking to the NPC again just resumes from Day 103. is there anyway to skip all these damn cutscenes so i can start a new choco? or is there a cap on the number of days the system will report your old choco's status? surely it couldn't have recorded 6 real-life months of crap for my choco, and surely i don't have to go through 6 months of cutscenes...right?!?!

Your choco is automatically retired on Day Report #124.

Just went through the same thing and Ramath is correct. They are retired... You were almost there. I wanted to bang my head on the desk when I got to day 60+ and realized I was still getting cutscenes. And this was for my boyfriend's account... I dread reactivating mine later on!

Maybe SE will allow you just to skip the cutscenes or go through them instantly in the next version update in 2 days.

105 days, 101 of which I had to watch last night. I really wish SE would suspend things like chocobos and Mog Locker leases when the associated Content ID is canceled.

They give you an option to "Skip Report"..I just went through the same thing..
