Majae :
they should have just called this "mini-dynamis"

since it seems like the same dynamis of SE favoring the mage classes again.

its not because sleepga II lasted like 4 sec on bombs. you have pritty much quick dead blms if you dont have melees that can co tank or get attraction of the mobs. I would have called it mini-dynamis if sleep would be potent like its normaly is outside of einharjer

The best way to deal with large groups will probably end up being breaking into EXP style parties where each deals with their own mob. Then taking on the boss, what to do to negate their insane HP, or spamming healing remains to be seen though.

Edit: After bringing it up in LS, they say dealing with it dynamis style would b best. I don't know, a lot of sleep resistant mobs could put a damper on that, but we'll see. Planning for another rum tomorrow night.

are these mobs gravity resistant, If not i was thinking while main ally gets a few, each blm could solo one?

Okay, I have three very important questions about /logout in Einherjar... this will probably require testing:

1. Can you /logout in Einherjar without being booted out?

2. Is hate zone-based or simply handed out to everyone at the time of the monster's first provocation? Uh, to be a little more clear: If an alliance attacked a monster, and one member of that alliance logged out and then logged back in, would he have hate(assuming he is far enough not to be aggro'd naturally)?

Also:

3. Someone said that enough distance can sever the bond these monsters have. Has anyone proved this?

4. I'd like to hear some testimonies from people who have fought the boss under these different occasions:

-Did not kill any of the lesser monsters, did not kill the "special" monster.

-Did not kill any of the lesser monsters, did kill the "special monster".

-And only for people who have done both of these: Compare killing all the monsters in the room vs only killing some... on the same boss. (I imagine this might be impossible to answer at this moment).

I have a theory... if the "special" monster weakens all the monsters in the area(and not just the boss), I have this idea to be able to call it out without facing any other monster first.

1. Everyone enters.

2. Everyone logs out, but 1 player.

3. Player pulls a monster, then dies in a safe location, preferably not the entrance as monsters might take awhile to move away.

4. Everyone logs back in. Player is raised and the "special" monster is grabbed and killed the moment it appears.

5. Normal camping/killing begins.

I do not believe that dying calls out the special monster, I'm assuming just time based.

I haven't seen any reports of the monster being up before the first pull. I've seen many reports of it only popping after first pull.

But have you seen any reports of people standing there for 10 minutes waiting for it to spawn? No, the fact that it spawns AFTER the first pull could be mere coincidence, it's a 30 minutes MAX event, no one is going to stand there doing nothing for 10-15 minutes hoping it will spawn. Also, nowhere has it been proven that it only spawns once someone dies. It very well could be, but harping on someone dying in an attempt to make something spawn is just silly.

The dying isn't the point... it's the pulling that matters. It's better for one person to die, rather than an entire alliance.

SP round 2 last night, we tried rosweisse chamber again. I believe 22-24 people attended. This time we got 6 Wamoura and 10 worms. Manticore boss. Random bird popped.we got dusty potions and reraise lol. We killed all Wamoura with about 17 minutes left. pulled Manticore. Took him down to 60% before we ran out of time. we went in BLM heavy and had 4 BRD. Turns out our 2 RNG did 50% of our dmg to the manticore. Seems you need a good balance of both BLM and Melee to ensure you have your bases covered.

If pulling is the point, then why bother wasting time having everyone log out and log back in and letting someone die? Why not start pulling as soon as you can and switch targets to the animal when it spawns?

Did Ross with 24. 16 hounds + Boss.

Bards could horde-lull the hounds, blm could not sleepga them. Lullaby lasted maybe 10-15s on hounds. We didn't do so well, since we couldn't keep the hounds slept. Wiped after killing about 3-4 hounds. This data so far isn't terribly new to anyone -- looks like a lot of others had similar experiences. Either you manage to sleep things and then you win or you don't and then you wipe.

After the wipe, we all got up and then tried another pull. This time we tried to kite things. Kiting simply does not work. I pulled and dragged some to raid, which were slept. I then started around the room. About 6 dogs were following me at this point. The instant the raid starting killing one of the slept dogs, all the dogs chasing me stopped and ran back to the raid. We were well outside normal link/agro range when they left me. It was exactly like Dynamis-Beaucedine with the Angra/dragon pull. The instant Angra is hit, dragons leave the puller. Llullaby didn't seem to count as "agro" for the purposes of shared hate, too, since some dogs kept chasing me until one in the slept pack was hit.

So, it's definitely shared agro rather than linking. When I got back to the raid and started in on helping to kill dogs, I had a very hard time getting agro on anything and when I did, all the loose stuff seemed to turn to me along with the target and then leave me along again rather quickly. It seemed as if it's not just shared hate, but very little hate-memory, too. I'm going to test that next run by having our PLDs use Invincible in sequence to attempt to "tank" the horde and get it under control for the sleepers. If stuff leaves an invincible PLD too quickly, it's obviously resetting hate or at least a shorter hate-memory.

Controlling the pull seems to be the biggest obstacle. Bards look like the only solution, since you don't know if you're going to get undead or not before you enter. You might be able to spread the pull out a bit by having the puller run them past bards in several different spots, but I'm not sure that would be a good thing to do. Overlapping horde-lullaby from 3-4 bards is what I'd really want for the next attempt.

Rossweise with 23 people. 12~ Bombs 12~ Single Bats. Manticore boss. Pink bird popped during first pull. Bombs spam firaga 3, fire 4, and Heat Wave. This event seems broken to me. 23 people vs. 24~ mobs that can't really be slept, while other groups of 24+ get 6 Doom Toad mobs. What the fuck?

did senguine's chamber with i think 25ish

only had 7 jnuns killed 5 while a brd looked for the random bird that was flying around... he found brought to us. we killed, got no message, proceeded to kill the remaining jnun

no other mobs other then the wivre boss in the zone.

killed the boss in about 15 mins.... TONS of HP, a move that takes 2 shadows or does heavy dmg, a fierce attack down aoe effect, a really heavy physical resist buff, and a bunch of other shit that i wasnt able to pick out

tried melee zerg and tried SC's did about the same in the end. didn't notice any difference between the two.

only had a couple of deaths thru the whole fight nothing major to worry about until the last 20% where it seemed that his aoe was getting thru alot more, prolly due to melee not recasting shadows fast enough

drops wivre parts and p.hands.

went to senguine's chamber: 21 People. Earthsday/6:00

12 Bats.
Boss: Nihhus. Some Rhino looking thing (Sorry forget the name)

We went in and decided to have all the melee 2 hour right off possibly taking out enemies faster. Had 1-2 deaths took us a bit to get the bats all killed.

A tiger popped and we killed it.. No msg and no chest.

Had 15 min remaining on the boss when we engaged. Huge ass amount of HP and the melee were hitting for zero a bunch through the entire fight.

Got him to 34% before time ran out. AMII was doing around 900 solo. We had 4 blms.

Sleepga II seemed to stick in the beginning on the bats with bard and blm sleep but half way through they started to wake up in spurts.

All in all was very doable if we had a few more people. I dunno if this is the easiest one to get actually but the last one we had with like 18 bats wasnt cool.

Ok, a group of us went did this yesterday. 23 ppl total. i dont know what area. there was at least 10 ghosts and 15 krakens in area. Orobon NM as well. we pulled one ghost and obviously they all came. we werent killin them too fast but we were killin them effiently, until they sleepga. then it got bad. also the special nm popped like 2 min into us pullin the ghosts. it was a bird and the name was muninn(sp).
2 sams duoed really fast. no saying or chests drop. and i saw no effect on the ghost mobs after it died.

Shortly after the bird died, we decided to wipe with only about 5 ghosts killed. After a couple failed RR, we decided to call it quits. so i deceided to play around a lil. its not much, but i learned a lil.

1) shared hate/aggro is scetchy. someone blood aggro the whole party of ghosts, yet i was able to run awy w/o aggro after he/she died. maybe its just party/alli hate. someone mentioned earlier about a lone thf sac pull the mobs to one side. i think that could be a good strat to possibly find out more about the NM themselves.

2) after the blood aggro of my linkmate, i found myself in the back of the arena. soi wanted to test aggro distance and if the NM could be pulled w/o aggro of the rest. the ghosts were still on there way back, so they werent in the fray, but there was about 15 krakens all aournd the orobon nm. so i managed to squeeze between 2 groups of krakens and i provoked the orobon. it was a clean pull. and strangely, the orobon didnt attempt to hit me for like 3o secs. it does draw-in, but it seemed very kitable with an experienced player. well , once it did swing at me ,, it hit for 300 + ( i was war with DD gear)BUT the strange thing is there were 2 ppl alivve in my alliance and after i died, the orobon just turned yellow and slowly went back to its aggro area, instead of chasing down the 2 alive alli member.

Take from that what you will. But i liked it and i cant wait for more. next time i will also be goin in as bst , and i will be checking all options, and if things seems to go wrong again, ill plasome more with aggro and hate, and i hopefully get a better understanding. thank you.

OK still wondering from the people who have beat this how they killed the weaker mobs without wipe? Did you kite? Burn them down? Please post more detail on strategy rather then oh we won and got these drops. I think people are having the most difficulty on the groups of mobs that link and I personally would like to know how the groups that won did it in time to be able to kill the megaboss before time ran out.

We had a group go in Saturday with 31 people at Rosswieghs Chamber. We had 6 bugard mobs, 13 single bats, and 1 Marid NM to kill.

The bugards slept easy and went down quickly. As we killed the 4th bugard, Munninn(raven) flew in and we all switched to it and killed. It went down in literally 3 to 4 seconds. Nothing happened in the log that I recall. From here, we easily finished the last 2 bugards.

We did a quick 30sec HP/MP med and then pulled the bats next. 13 single bats all came in at once. They were easily slept by bards. These bats also had very low HP and died in roughly 30seconds each. We killed all 13 relatively quick.

We did a quick 30 sec HP/MP med again and then pulled the Marid NM. One difference we noted that other groups had experienced is the chigoes. Our Marid never spawned any chigoes. Also, he did only 1 TP move and spammed it over and over. This tp move was called "Prolific Shower" (something like this) and would basically restore 5% HP every time he used it. We got to about 82% and ran out of time.

To kill this NM is gonna require a 2 person stun time, much like what you would use on cerberus. The build time on the Shower TP move is pretty long much like Cerberus' Gates of Hades move. Very easy to stun and never resists.

If you have only blms on it, you can really slow his tp and make things easier. If you plan to kill with melees, you're gonna need chainspell stun x2 and everyoen burn 2hours.

The only drops we received during the event was 2 x XP scrolls which dropped form the single bats.
