Yesturday I got a +1 skill rise from 12 - 13 fishing in East Ron on salmon (I rarely catch trout) Anyone know when server resets(in GMT) ? It must be the only reason Im not getting the skillups I should I have about 6 stacks of fish but my skill increase is horrid I fished about 2hrs maybe and only got 0.1 increase
yesturday fished about 3 and skilled up 1

I don't believe that there is a daily limit to how much you will raise in skill. You simply have a pretty low chance of gaining skill, a chance that is bigger during a new moon and also if you are fishing something way above your current skill level (like fishing for nebimonites at lv10, or fishing for bluetail at lv20..).

It is only very unlikely that you will gain more than 1.0 total skill during one day fishing under any circumstance. I have never gained more than 1.5-2.0 fishing skill in one day (after LV10-15), no matter what the circumstances were.

Has anyone found out hwat exactly to do when you can't catch fish anymore? I'm at 12 hours of no fishing and it still won't let me fish. I called a GM and they said they couldn't say what to do but they told me that I didn't meet a requirement. (And yes I've done the test -- 10.9 Fishing)

....off subject slightly. I was in a party in Kazham. We were in Yhoater,backed into a

dead end cave,using it as our camp. In between battles the WHM in the group would fish

while waiting for pulls....in a very small puddle at the back of this cave.
Suddenly I

see on my screen "XXXXX"(WHM) catches a monster!!!
Then,"XXXXX takes 378 damage!!!

"......"XXXXX is defeated by the sawtooth pugil!!! The sawtoothed pugil incident capped

off a horrible weekend of bad parties but I have to say it was hilarious....only a few of us

lived. I am still laughing today about it

I'm confused.. didnt this WHM heal up during pulls...?

Just a bit frustrated that's all...
Anyway I recently started playing again but not with my old character since that account is long closed... I did some fishing back then (didn't get very high like 30 or something) but I can't remember it being this insanly slow in the beginning...

I got full fisherman gear and carbon rod atm, fishing with little worms in windurst waters and I get tons of fishing biting but I still haven't caught a single fish, I've only had my line break every single attempt. And I've honestly went trough over 200 little worms now I don't mind skill up etc being slow but I can't even get up one fish how am I gonna skill then? (I got the fishing imagary thing on as well)

A couple of hours later. Just found a guide now that says you have to wear down the stamina of the fish now days... Shame I didnt stumble across this a like yesterday... ;D

You can probably skill quite nicely on Noble ladies. Sinking minnow (can be bought on ferry) and Lu Shang or Halcyon rod will work. They can be caught on the ferry to Mhaura and Selbina. I believe they cap at 67.. so happy fishing.

Also, remember to cancel the !!!, as they are large fish which you probably can't reel in anyhow.. lol.

Q: Is there or has anyone posted a site where it shows the skill caps for the new fish you can fish up in new areas?

• I found that at this point in time I was catching mad amount of Moat carp along with a few Gold Carp at times. It was a bit slow at first from 50-52. After that it seemed to raise my skill quickly. I had a lot better luck just fishing in Windhurst area then in Port San D’Oria. Also I used the Mithran Fishing Rod 99% of the time and it worked great for this.


sazanbaligi in whitegate with insect ball and hume rod caps at 56. easier to get too than any of those areas too.

The Best Fishing Guide I Could Even Imagine Finding

Its a very detailed guide Fishing from 1-100. All the info you'll ever need. I swear @_@. Helped me a bunch. Part of the guide has info on skilling up as you fish up carp for Lu Shang's Rod. Has info on fatigue, message notifications, w/e. Just thought I'd share the guide with those who haven't seen this guide.

How come there is nothing about TOAU fishing? I tried to find a 0-100 guide that included TOAU content but it was non existing. Has TOAU not offered that many new fishing hotspots?

honestly i tried jugner at 20 and i found the skillup both lacking and the money as well so i explored other options asked my japanese friend and they al told me that jugner was no good.....and they said to try Altheine plateau witha composite/froglure combination...tried it and got 20-30 in one day of fishing giant catfish ,red terrapins and the odd darkbass

I tried La Theine Plateau with Composite/Frog Lure at 20 also, got "You didn't catch anything." messages 7 times in a row. :blush
