I would like some info from those who have capped "Desperate Blows".

# Game Description: Reduces delay for two-handed weapons when using Last Resort by 5% per merit.
# Job Traits are always active.

Thats a max of 15% attack speed for only 30 seconds. Merits into LastResort can bring the recast to 4minutes 10seconds and the effect of 14.75% + 10% = 24.75% attack up and defence down.

Any comments?

I just wanted to know if this was worth doing. I swing 3-4 times in 30 seconds with my high delay scythe and without hasso. I guess this would add a swing or two and thats good for blood weapon. That dosen't compare to double, tripple attack or zanshin though. Well maybe zanshin..

Currently with 2 DB merits witch is like 2 extra swings its parses per 1hr exp party about an extra 3.5-4k dmg if they all hit.

Now actually, I find DB to be useful in cementing hate on yourself to let a mob hurt itself with dreadspikes. Also because of dreadspikes, 3/3 muted soul is less appealing than before, so that frees up merits to be used elsewhere.

Its nice to have up when you've been already given a Haste (that'd make .. 30%?), providing you dont miss the 6~7 whiffs you can do in that 30 second window.

Desesperate blows is crazy

Hasso+DB+soul march+souleater+bloodweapon , and you can do some nasty damage ( if you dont have KC )

in, my case , with cata spam , its not 3-4 extra swin every 4min , more like 6 extra swing every 4min ( 1.2~1.8k )

Im not a fan of Diabolic eye anyway... 3Min of acc boost every 10min... i dont find it sexy

But i guess merit 2 really depend of 1°) your stuff 2°) what you do more in Endgame scene

I find that both Diabolic Eye and Dark Seal are great for endgame. I have them both and level2 Muted Soul. That leaves 2 more slots to fill and I wasn't sure if I should do level 1 or 2 Desperate Blows. I am fairly certain level3 Muted Soul is the way to go..

DB is actually imo the best new merit group we got ;/

DB 3/3: 15% delay in 2Hweapens stacking it with hasso and other haste stuff and it's kinda neat
DE 3/3: I feel like Im cheated with this JA. It's basicly a gimp Aggressor(Duration 3min reuse 5min)
Mued soul 3/3: after Dread spikes this doesn't seem too appealing. I actually kited KB while my ls got there and made pts using Spikes/Seigan to live and Souleater/last resort/stun to keep hate ;3
Dark seal 3/3: This is interesting. With the new Drain2 you can use DS to get your extra HP off HNMs without resist
I even used it to stun Kirin once(of course I got deadly hold for doing that...)

I do kings , exp , limbus , dynamis , salvage, einherjar, Sea , kirin

and i dont feel the need of diabolic eye... I have 304 Scythe skill and 68 acc ( +7 acc / +7 ws acc on more evasive monster )

I dont like the -HP% of Diabolic Eye , and if all you do is Gods then yeah go 3/3 diabolic eye >_>

I was 3 mutedsoul and 3 dia eye, but recently changed to 3 deseperate blows. (kept MS)

I find it very useful in all types of endgame situations, especially while trying to keep up TP with SAMs.

Tier 1 example of baseless "facts" and bullshit with no parses (I think parsers suck as well, but at least it shows they tried) or even reasoning to back it up.

Nobody cares about DRK tanking in EXP, sorry to say. Not to mention the fact that DB doesn't give any extra enmity besides I guess added swings, but by the time you make full use of it the monster will probably be dead. I can't think of any other situation where you would want to "cement hate" on yourself.

DE: You're comparing two entirely different abilities from two different jobs. Don't compare it to Aggressor :.

Mued Soul: Try not doing shitty damage on other stuff, then you'll be glad you have those ^-^. Plus, just cancel god damn Souleater and the -enmity effect will go away and you'll still get a little hate from using it at least if you care that much. I doubt you need much hate if you're just stalling. What a stupid thing to base your reasoning off of :.

Dark seal: I only put one in this personally, because it's only really important for Kclub during 2hr. Otherwise, your damage just depends on how much healing you're getting. Oh, and your kiters su- oh wait, nm.

Unfortunately, these are Dark Knight forums, not Dark Knight with relic forums.

For those of us who don't have a relic weapon, gimped or not now, Diabolic Eye can still be incredibly useful. You may be spoiled by the +20 Acc on your Scythe, but for those of us who prefer to use Great sword and Ground Strike, DE helps immensely when building TP.

Like you vaguely said, it's awesome on Gods and Kirin.

However, it's also great on some mobs in Sea. And for those who aren't Sushi munchers, it can be great pretty much anywhere, even in EXP (derp thf mobs).

I also believe you're exaggering the number of swings DB is giving you. You say:

Gaining 6 more swings from -15% weapon delay on a 513 delay weapon sounds a little far fetched... well, it sounds like bullshit. But wait a second, could you actually be thinking the haste from Cata is making DB better? Looks like it. That's actually retarded however, as it's an entirely different variable.

That problem we have here is from people getting SV march, Haste, Hasso, etc and attacking really fucking fast and thinking "OMFG DB IS AWESOME AHHH". Well it's not, you just have mass Haste buffs.

It's not changing the fact that DB by itself is only adding 2 or 3 more hits max every time you use it. Having double SV March, Haste, Cata Haste, Hasso, and whatever shit you want to have doesn't happen all the time my fren .

So basically, what you should be saying is:

"Desesperate" blows is crazy if you have relic scythe, otherwise it's fucking terrible.


And Taint, know what else helps people without relic keep up with SAMs as much as they can? Not fucking missing.


But enough of this douche baggery; someone whip out their formulas and little calculators to find out exactly how many hits DB will give you.
