anyone try trading the food rewards to the M&P NPCs in juno?

i had 3 chicken, 8 crackers and 7 duplings in my inventory and tried trading them to the NPCs behind the counter in upper jeuno. No luck with anything.

I was told you need to trade moogle all 8 items for best reward 7 being different combos with races and gender and then keeping your own item once to make 8

I've attempted this one personally. I had all eight items from doing the last run twice and not tradeing the second time. And I can confirm it does nothing at all. The moogle will simply take the first item you trade amoung the eight and accept it as a single offering and you get more food.

Also, it's not possible to turn in multples of the same item as you can not carry multiples of the same item. Additionally you need the key item of the drawing for each turn in, so you can't beat the system by having someone else trade you a second item, it won't work. Trading the food rewards to either mogs, festivle mogs, nomad mogs, or the special event salespeople, even the goldfish game sales lady have proven fruitless.

My theory is that SE has simply not released the 'real' event items. Long time players know very well that SE has a knack for screwing around with events, giving us lame rewards for a few weeks, even for half the length of the event before letting go with the good stuff. Keep trying, at least the event is relatively fun and painless this year.

When was this? Although, I do usually catch events kinda midway in.

Apparently when we were all asking for this event to be brought back, we forgot to mention that we'd like an incentive that lasts longer than 3 minutes. The food would be awesome if it lasted every 30 minutes, but 3 minutes is barely long enough to use it before it wears off.

everyone I know has pretty much given up on this event for the year. The only thing I could think of is perhaps you gotta buy the swimsuit or Yukata from the NPC then do the event. I didn't buy a Yukata since I had mine from last year. But even then you'd think someone would of tried it and found a result considering I read many people say they missed out on getting one.

Seriously, I think SE just "did" the event since they needed something to fill the time and didn't put forth any thought into it since they are concentrating on the upcoming expansion and development of the final touches for Assault, Salvage, Einherjar, and the current storyline for Treasures of Aht Urhgan. Really sad if you ask me. I kinda looked forward to mobbing the massive buffalo and getting ejected all the way back to Jeuno while casting Drain, or getting a robe that dispenses a different type of firework this year.

It was crazy fun with 100 people running around Bastok Markets firing off fireworks at each other or chasing people around as a floating one eyed jack-o-latern lol :blush

Yes, go to rabeo and buy it from the nomad moogle just behind Mai the goldfish scoop lady. It's that simple. They are selling for 50k per peice.

you know 50k is a decent chunk of change to ask for 1 piece of evet gear, they must really be trying to pull gil outa the economy.

Clamming is horrible, a friend of mine got the +1 swimsuit pieces this year and went to clam, he barely noticed any difference at all, mostly worthless items, and it's a very bad way to make gil lol.
Unless you actually find clamming fun, I really recommend to make your gil/fun a different way xD
So to answer your question I don't think it's worth it. (Not sure if the event is still even on, but yeah)
