Do you think SE should add more Pop NMs? Like Sozu Rogberry? If Yes, which ones? If No, why?

Pretty much agree... but sometimes i don't know.. i hate having to ask for waste of time (most of the time, it's not asking for help... it's wasting several hours)

I'm going to say no because SE should be putting more emphasis on the new expansions and adding better items rather than letting old NMs and items from 4 years ago dominate the game. Make these old items obsolete and the problem fixes itself.

I want more nms to drop rare/ex even if they're not force pop. They're good fun to camp and gil sellers/buyers shake their fists in rage!

But more NM's with pop/claim tricks would be a welcome addition.

I am not sure that waiting 12 hours and just cause i was faster than someone else, it means that i earn it. IMHO.

I wouldn't mind them making Zilart/ToAU kings and CoP wyrms forced pop as long as they do it where you can only do it like once per conquest tally or so. Since it seems SE thinks the only ppl that should get that stuff are those who can spend most of their time on FFXI.

Where would the fun in that be though Cor? Well actually I don't find camping a HNM for 3 hours to not claim fun but thats just me. Some people love HNM.

I agree with most of the posts here though, in that they should only make the NMs that have ra/ex drops force pop. Otherwise, we end up with another alky camp where there's a battle to claim the mobs that drop the pop item.

I kind of like camping Alky/Pallas, tbh. If there wasn't so much magic-aggro, I'd -really- like it. =D

If they changed more NM's to mirror their pop method, I wouldn't mind. Having a chance to claim item mobs every 5 min. and pop a NM every 15 sure beats waiting 2-3 (or 24) hours to possibly get outclaimed. I wouldn't feel too bad if I get outclaimed on a 5 min. mob, but I'd feel like tossing my Xbox out of the window if I get outclaimed on a mob I waited 1+ hour(s) for.

That's the main reason I don't camp HNM's. Wait 5 hours just to get a ToD. =/

I think again like people above me such as making Ose (which drops R/EX and has no alt version of the item) should be force pop.
I've camped things such as these with a horrible drop rate but only place you can get the item is waiting w/e number of hours, kill it, not get drop and be like 0/alot.

I have been up in UpperDelk for a week or two now, with a THF friend of mine. Now that alky/pallas both Force pop, it is a very nice way of farming gil.

Was wondering... would it be better or worse if they made many NM's with rer/ex drops... not only force pop, but improve the drop rate to ~20% or up...... hmmm

Because I've killed PCA NM more the 13 times and am 0/13 on drop… and am sure that am not the only person that wants to commit suicide after that much waiting, and rush to get NM.

I'm personally of the opinion that low drop rates are just cruel. What purpose does it ultimately serve that I spent the better part of my evenings in South Gustaberg for a week killing Leaping Lizzy before she eventually coughed up my Bounding Boots? And, ultimately, they're just nice boots, but what about really useful things like Peacock Amulet, Vali's Bow, Boreas Cesti, or similar?

I agree with that completely. I am about 0/17 now on JUST Ose for a Rare/Ex drop that would be very nice for my DRG (yea I know, insert lolDRG here). It just makes me mad that I have to gather about 4 people to kill the thing and to wait with me for whatever number of hours and then not get a drop that many times. I finally just gathered gil and bought a Barone Corazza because I got so tired of bothering people for help to camp an NM and not getting the drop. I am also about 0/10 on Argus and I lost count on Leaping Lizzy (of course LL boots not for my DRG).
