Well i was leveling goldsmithing but unfortunately i came to a stop at 55, after which it becomes a huge loss to level till 80. I decided to pick up alchemy instead so i can make gradual profit and ultimately level goldsmithing in the end. Now i am 28 atm and i don't want th esame thing to happen to me, that did when i was leveling goldsmithing, that is running out of funds. So i was wondering if any alchemists could tell me, if 2 mil would be enough to take it to 80 or so where the profit from other things can compensate for the gil lost when taking alch to 100. Things are pretty cheap on my server. 6k for a stack of oils. 5k for ahriman tears stack. 400k for scorpion harness and 700k for haubergeon. Stack of poison potion is around 6k and icarus wings are 9k. So what do you guys think?

I believe you can with that kind of gil backing you up because remember your making half if not all back while your crafting and smithing is not that expensive also helps if you have a thf to soften the blow

One question:

Why is it everyone who asks about the cost of leveling a certain craft always mention Goldsmithing in some way shape or form.

Let's make this two questions:

What is so great about goldsmithing that you want to level it? Sure, there are money makers for it but every craft has money making ability. What is so great about it?

Do you even realize it took me two years to make back the money that it cost me to level it in the first place and i could have bought a fucking relic?

I'd seriously suggest you look into another craft, there are others that make plenty good money at less time and gil costs, now, if you want to know about alchemy its super fast and easy, and i got it 0-60 on about a mil. i'm sure 2 mil you could push it even further... to turn back around after reaching 100 in another craft to do gold i think is silly, you should focus on money making then gold... it's the most expensive, over rated craft there is. Period.

Yes, i leveled it, yes, i am 100, if i could do it again, i'd choose another route and been 100 skill years ago and with alot more gil lining my pockets by now.

1) he asked about alchemy, stop bitching about goldsmithing.
2) he asked this like a year and a half ago; i don't think he's still looking for the answer.

1: as if him leveling gold on another server affects my money, no.

I was just saying, it's an over-rated craft and if he can't afford it to 55+ maybe he should pick another.

2: I didnt see that the OP was a year ago, it was on the front page, i dont look at dates, why the fuck should i? If it's front page it should be recent.. oh i'm sorry maybe you should drill whoever the hell necrobumped it instead of me.

3: I wasnt bitching about goldsmithing, the OP did state that he planned to level it. Do you understand English? Or did you even read the OP?

4: Peace out.
