Hi everyone,

This is my first post in KI and im dissapointed that it has to be about this subject. Like everyone else I play FF to escape the real life or have an output from everyday living.

A few days ago I got a series of tells that were macroed and of a racist nature by someone called "Antiwetback". In those tells he expressed that someone like me, and my background, had no chance in getting to a HNM LS. I had recently been turned down by EA *Endless Abyss*. He continued saying that if maybe they needed someone to take care of the "Gardening" of mules and mains then maybe I should reapply and put that in my application for future referance. And maybe cleaning of the MH's when moogles were on vacation, or strike. Or maybe serve as a pack mule carrying nutting but potions, ethers, elixirs, etc, to Sky and such and put them on my bazzar for people that need them when popping gods and such. And that I could make a FF living off the tips and such. So no need for me to bid on stuff that dropped.

I called a GM and told him what happened ASAP but let's face it. What can a GM do? By the time they answer the character has been long been deleted. We play this game to relax and have fun. Last thing we want is some asshat to remind us of the things we are trying to escape or forget about even if for just a few hours.

I think something like that is ridiculous. People need to get over all that race shit... its so over. As it has always been, putting others down to make yourself feel better is lame. I can totally understand what you're going through, Bowmen. I am african american and deal with this stuff more then people think and its sickening, especially over a game where the only race issues should be not trusting a sneaky Mithra or joining an all Tarutaru linkshell.

I just think whoever did this really has too much time on their hands and I really do feel bad for you =

Wow that sucks man, sorry to hear that. Ive been called a "N****r" all because I refused to synth when I am busy. Just know that its not you, Ignorance knows no bounds. Real or fantasy. Just let it roll off you back and dont sweat it. Like someone above stated, just move servers and start new. You can always keep your old friends on your POL FL as well as messengers.

If someone wants to be sad and introduce racism, then let them rant while you laugh it off. Take the high road. Letting it get to you will signify that you're bothered by words from someone who doesn't deserve your attention. This is exactly what they want.
