There is nothing wrong with being upset after being insulted like that, and nothing wrong with bringing it to the attention of others.
While there might always be people spouting their racist rubbish, should we just overlook it and keep silent ? I don't think so, I'm glad many others have posted here denouncing what has happened, and hopefully will be some food for thought for the person responsible (if he reads this at all) so he'll hopefully think about what he's actually saying before trying to be 'funny' the next time.
