That's not the meteor.

In CS after you beat the ZM4 mission you learn how the Kuluu stopped the Zilart from opening the gates to paradise. However when they did they caused one huge explosion. Thsoe trees and blackened cliffs are probably from the explosion.

my reply

The northlands were destroyed when the crags exploded. The northland crag in vhalz was the most powerful of the explosions. It changed the climate from tropical to barren wastelands which have not recovered since the disaster thousands of years prior.

One thing that MANY people get wrong is the blackened cliffs around Qufim Island - They were NOT created by the explosion thousands of years ago in the past when the crags exploded or a meteor crashed. They are in fact scars of battle of when Bahamut attacked Tu'Lia (sky). The explosions more or less destroyed the surrounding area - sky remained almost intact probobly due to defence systems in operation - im asuming that they had magic barriers which protected both Delkfuut and Tu'Lia from bahamuts assault.

This explains why the cliffs surrounding Qufim are like they are cut out of the ground. It was the defence weaponry and attacks during the great conflict.

If you doubt me then do some research. I firmly believe this to be true from research ive done. How else could qufim island be relatively secure - yes it is still rocky and its a terrible place it is very scarred - due to the fight - the cliff edges are sheer drops - due to the fight - the tower is intact - probobly due to the defence systems - sky is directly above and intact mostly - probly due to the said defence systems.

Just makes sense to me anyhow.

Necrobump, a new question!

From: Valentione's Day Is Coming!
QUOTE (Ms. M (Mithra) Valefor)
Even now, I can rrremember it like it was yesterday...
Romping around the vast deserts of Aht Urhgan, getting sand in our boots.
Getting royally lost in the maze we'd put our heads together to crrreate.
Gazing up at the bejeweled sky on the night of the Starlight Celebration, his hand over mine.
Whenever I look back, it seems D. was always at my side...

Is SE confusing rl Middle East with game Middle East? Is there an area unreleased with lots of sand stretching from the jungles of the Wajaom Woodlands, the mountains of Havlung, or the marshlands of Caedarva Mire? Why is the provided picture a sunset at Purgonorgo Isle (Bibiki Bay)?

I found this on FFXIclopedia concerning multiple NMs which people just don't see as having any purpose (Black Triple Stars, Blubbery Bulge, Drooling Daisy, etc.)

I died laughing when I read the etymology behind that quest's reward. SE has some cute programmers.
