I'm currently level 42. I've got (almost) every spell from 1-43. Really soon I'll be needing to head to places such as Lufaise Meadows in order to obtain more spells. I'm on CoP 2-3 and this is my highest I've been on a character. Haven't done the promy's at all yet. So here I am stuck not knowing what to do, and having seemingly hard (for first timers) battles ahead of me..not to mention even trying to organize a successful group for them. So..what do you recommend? ;A;

The Promys seem all, but out of reach for me. Are the promy area spells make/break spells or am I able to skip them until later?

Promy's is the easiest mission to get people for, if you're not capable of clearing those you'll have a hell of a time getting to sea, where a couple of our best spells are obtained. Suck it up and shout for members if you can't get friends/LS to help you clear it.

I meant CoP 2-1..whichever is the promy one, lol. I guess I should have actually stated this:

I'm having trouble with getting together promys let alone this being my first character passed 30. Blue Mage needs spells out of Sea, and that's not exactly a walk in the park to get into. Should I halt leveling Blue until I get more experience, or is endgame blue mage not so much of a pipe dream after all?

CoP1-2/3 and you're set with the right mission number.

I did PM's as i level'd DRK...so DRK30 PM1 done. DRK40 PM2/3 done. DRK50 PM4/part of 5 done...you get the drift. It's not hard to do both, level like mad if you're not attempting a PM. Try to ding into sea spells

I got sea no problem (at 71) and BLU is and was my only job used and I had a blast doing it. You can usually find 5 willing people just by shouting in Jeuno/Whitegate for a while or if you have willing friends/LS mates to help you with it. You wont be able to do the same as easily for later missions, so try and keep in contact with any good players you come across and consider organizing a static or at least inviting good people you come across to future missions. CoP's difficulty is completely overhyped and once you get past the initial noobfest that is Promyvion's (Holla/Dem/Mea anyway) it picks up. Keep at it.

I've done almost every CoP mission multiple times, all pre-nerf. Never seen what's so difficult about any of them. :dozingoff

Edit: Ugh, you're probably gonna say I didn't do them when CoP was first out and half the missions were supposedely stupidly hard. I didn't, but that doesn't change the fact that they're not difficult now (or before the "let's make all the farmed items AH sellable" nerf), which this topic pertains to.

Wow, this is like exactly where I'm at with BLU, except I'm 43. =P

Every time my friends/LS start a CoP thing, it's always the later stuff because they've already cleared Promys.

It's easy..... you stand in whitgate/Jeuno and shout for promy help/needs. And not the jackass shout trying to get 5 SMN to astral burn it for you take 5 other balanced jobs get the damn animas and you will win. I just laugh when people loose proms and when you ask if they used anima they say no, for chrsits sake its a free mob debuff that makes the easy boss fights that much easier. And now you can buy the things you dont even need to put forth any effort to get them any more, other than moving your joystick to the AH counter.

Sure its gonna take time to gather people but dont sit here and say you cant do it. If you have the time to level you have the time to get a CoP party together and start getting through missions. Wether or not YOU want to take the time to do it is your own problem not ours the only dilema I see here is lazyness plain and simple. Dont wait for a static to pop out of the air or for someone else to be shouting take some damn initiative and build them.

And if you are having problems with winning proms constantly it might be time to consider the fact you might suck and not your party. One bad player can ruin it for all but when your the bad player it'time to read up on your job and even simple game mechanics and see where you suck and change that behavior. Oh and just in case Nishida if your wearing mp gear for your BLU your doing it wrong(this post just seems like one of those people). O.K rant over.

Just shout for help, you'll eventually find people who'll hang on and a static will just form out of nowhere. At least it did for me, I thought PM missions were fun as hell despite the over-hyped difficulty and my shiny ring gives me a boner every time I look at it. :love
