Ares was a dream set of armor for us DRKs, but now we've achieved power equal to what the Ares would have originally given us. Seeing as that some of us are already capping out our power, do you suppose maybe Ares isn't really as needed anymore and that haste armor might be the better choice?

Yeah...I know this is a very silly question, but it never hurts to ask. After all, things have really changed on all of us. I'm actually looking at my AF armor as something more useful than the Thick armors after all.

If I knew this would happen, I wouldn't have thrown out my old AF armors...

if your a drk or a war who doesn't have an ebody and don't have the means of getting one but do salvage then the body should be your goal. Ares body is alot more common than any salvage body out there so its not that hard to get.

Legs are real good too, it's the best WS leg peice out there for all jobs that can use it, head is kinda meh and pretty expensive, the gloves are kinda meh too for their price.

Yea, if anything it makes the body ultra godly. The mask is ok now, before it was omgwtfbbq good.

There isn't a haste body armor for drk so yea, might as well go for attack.

Ares body is str+12 att+36 and refresh
Adaman is str+10 att+25 dex+10 and acc+25

Hopefully we gonna get fixed that crap of 1 Dex = 1 Acc, so Ares will be WS only.

Well, ignoring the insane cost of it, I was kind of thinking about the full set for a multihit ws build. You're only getting about half the str you'd get from the ideal str build, but if the set bonus to Double Attack is reasonable it has pretty decent potential when you combine it with brutal/pole strap (outright suicidal on /war). Putting the money/effort issues aside, what do you think?

If by "multi-hit" WS you are talking about Guillotine, then it would work perfectly, since ATT was significantly better than going with a STR setup only.

And if the DA bonus in the set, plus the 2% addition in the legs, together with Grip and Brutal, heck even Tentacle Sushi if you want (besides the lack of Acc on the whole set, using Sushi wouldn't be bad, if really needed tho), well could outdamage a 4 piece haste setup (Homam/Dusk + Turban/Ace/Askar). Then a test would be required between both set of armors Homam vs Ares.

yeah, alot of people are 4/5 on ares, morrigan, usukane, but cannot complete the set because of the cockblock zhayolm has, no one has figured out how to get the final peices out of there >.>

I really don't see how this update would change the effect ares would have, I mean the double attack bonus makes me want to believe in god all over agian.

I don't know about everyone else, but I use Ares body, Head, and feet... (thats all I got) full set would be to slow IMO. So my recomendation is Ares Body and Haste gear, then Full Ares for WS

NQ haub is better than ares body in any situation where you're finding yourself uncapped in accuracy.
