I don't see a thread that praises fellow summoners at our currently obtained goals, so I made one! Pictures, stories, whatever is accepted!

I got my 7th merit in Summoning Magic, netting me the big 300! Tomorrow I'll get 8/8, then work on Avatar Physical Accuracy then Attack.
What's your Summoner's Latest and Greatest accomplishment?

I got 4/5 Elemental MP Cost merits yesterday. (Seems about as useful as most of the rest of group 1 to me.)
Also have 100% not-claim rate on Shiki since maintenance.

I don't know, call me stubborn but, I hate my elementals *laughs*. They always do the wrong thing at the wrong time. I love consistency; knowing your limitations and how to amplify your known abilities only makes you strong. That's why I'm choosing the acc/atck route.

They aren't the sharpest bulbs in the bag of wet hair, but it makes the most noticeable difference seeing them suck up less MP every 3 seconds.
Post-SMN magic patch I was ok with Acc on ITs (Aura Statue farming) of the level 70 BPs, so I'll do 5/5 and a mix of the rest.

I definitely won't argue that the Elemental Cost MP isn't a useful merit and could possibly be the best JS for SMNs to merit, but that's if you use your elementals. The only time I use mine is for emergency situations and Light. Light Elemental is amazing, but, how often do I use mine? Maybe 5% of the time? Probably even less. Yes, I know I'm gimping myself in one category of SMN, but at the same time I'm strengthening my strong points. Thus my consistency speech: I amplify the abilities that I'm good at.
To each his own can sum up this conversation! *grins*
P.S: I know Kairos of Caitsith is an exceptionally talented Elemental user. I saw it first hand in Dynamis how strong they can be, and in certain cases, well exceed our Terrestrial Avatars.

hmmmm my summoner accomplishments... lets see i have a few as i keep setting myself new goals...
Getting smn to 75 withough ripping my hair out exping anoys me so much and it was generally hard to get a party on SMN lol
Getting my Yinyang Robe was pretty massive for me as it took a number of weeks and several unsucessful camps and no drops etc.
finished my merrits although sometimes i wish id maxed elemental perp. rather than avatar attk. as i liek messing around with those alot now.

Lets see...
Summoner's horn
Nashira gages
Nashira Manteel
Yinyang Robe
Evoker's Pigaches +1
those are probably the best things that have happened to my summoner.
I have a 2 MP a tic fenrir and in dark weather (or refresh) he is free
. Ill post some screenshots later

I made one a long time ago on here Akashi. It died after 2 pages.
Last night I got a Summoner's Doublet bringing me to 4/5 SMN AF2. I felt kinda bad though cause it was the ONLY thing that dropped all night and I'm one of the ls leaders. But I won it fair and square with a 902 lot, and no one else lotted against me. I missed 3 previous ones cause I promised to pass to a friend if I won it and he was 2nd highest lot, and he went 5/5, then the next I just had the misfortune of a 57. 3rd my friend Kamon won with a Gold priority lot (I always opt not to gold lot stuff unless it's Xarcabard.) I'm excited to have it. Depending on the day I'll switch it in over YYR.
Another accomplishment (though sad) is being the best carby puller in my Limbus ls. Apparently even the other SMNs in the group fail to realize for carby pulling to work, you have to get your links while carby is alive. The group freaked out cause I was pulling the Manticores at the top floor of an Apollyon run and I used Retreat to get both mobs to aggro (runnin low on time so I had to pull from a bad angle). Needless to say it worked correctly.
Oh yeah. And I've gotten really good at using Spirits (For shame Akashi!) I got off 5 AMs and 6 Teir IVs with them in one Limbus run, even killed a Megaboss with Water Spirit's Water IV.

After 2+ years of being 75, I finally finished the Catagory 1 of SMN merits with 5 in Phys. Accuracy and 5 in Phys. Attack. ... >_>;; Next is finishing mp, then the blood pacts, then summoning magic...
Btw, great idea for a thread. It could be anything from obtaining Bahamut's staff and AFv2+1 to something as small as unlocking SMN...

Queue Alcoholics Anonymous:
"I'm a 75 Summoner and I haven't played smn in 2+ months"
/clap
lol, just kidding guys ... although it has been a long time since I've done anything on smn (I usually prefer playing brd or blu anyways)
My most recent accomplishment was quite unexpected, and not too terribly significant. I actually managed to get a Storm Turban from the Troll Fugitives Assault. For lvl 50 cap stuff it looks pretty useful, particularly for the +1 hmp.
Those decent items from the ??? drops are so rare that I figured it would at least be amusing to mention.

Most of the other job forums have one. Like I said before, I tried to do this before, but it flopped =/

Thanks! When I first started SMN (like 4~5months ago), I saw a lot of people posting their accomplishments in various threads. I figured, like Vari said, to add one here. Much props to Vari on trying though:p

Aye, I love our Spirit's AMs. I was watching a mnk/thf solo Alky below (where Pallas pops), and I saw him dying. I quickly threw on Sneak and ran upstairs, but unfortunately he died/HPd as soon as I got to him. I quickly dia'd the mob and started running for the stairs, but the bats were between my friends and myself. So I casted Earth Spirit and begged for a good spell. Alas, Quake! Did some moderate damage (850, I was lv72 at the time), and made for a great SMN story:p. But to comment on using spirits in Limbus: I never find the time, personally. I'm always busy swapping Avatars for buffs that I tend to use whatever is up as my damage (mainly Titan & Garuda). After getting 300 summoning skill (YAY!), the damage is a lot more consistant.

Well. I did Limbus tonight. I play with Spirits more when the group is over sized, or as my good friend Oraan (Spanner) is quoted for saying "We're heavily over staffed for this area -.-"
I had some interesting results tonight. My friend Kamon came COR and we did Kings Path. Usually I use Ifrit on the Buffalo floor and he tears it up. But tonight Kamon was playing with the BST roll that ups pet atk. All my Flaming Crushes with the Pet atk roll did 400-600. Which had me worried. Then I had Kamon stop giving me atk roll (he gave me Pet ACC), and my damage went back to normal. A 1113 then this one.
Wonder why atk made him hit weaker? =/

Maybe just bad luck and you were missing phy hits but landing magic? *scratches head* That certainly is interesting. I was doing 3kings today, but was using Ramuh for the buffaloes for stun (plague is yuck). Do you guys split your team occasionally to accommodate your numbers? As in, do 3kings & SE on the same day, etc.

Yeah. Actually the SW team we had lost the run cause they got confused by a day change when they got to the top floor with 8 minutes left. They killed Earth eles instead of fire so the chest didn't pop.
But yeah. It's a tactic we often use. We try and keep ls membership at around 24 members. It exponetially speeds up acquiring chips. Most runs can be beaten with 6-12 members. Only a select few need 18. But if you win 2 runs a night, and the same person lots both chips, you farm for Omega for 1 week, then you do Omega the next. Ultima you need to do 2 tier 1 towers, different people lot coins, then the last Tier 1 and 1 tier 2. Then you do the last do tier 2s to have a full Ultima set.
We had 18 people show for Limbus last night so we did a 7/11 split. If the 7 in SW had killed the right Eles 1st they would have won. 12 in NW can kill absolutely everything. We had 3 BLMs, 1 SMN (me) 1 PLD, 1 WHM, 1 RDM, 1 COR, 2 SAMs, and 1 BRD. We didn't wanna risk Cyanoprospi cause we had only 1 PLD. If we had another PLD we would have taken him. To safely fight Cyanoprospi (the dragon) you pull him over to the Refresh chest as my ls calls it, but it's the HP/MP/Ability restoration chest. And you fight him next to the chest. try and get him as low as you can (may require some zerging) but after you've got him under 50% you can pop the chest whenever a lot of people run low on HP and MP. It is possible to take him with 1 tank and win easily (Must kill all the wyverns on the floor to weaken him) But since we were going ftw, not farm, we decided not to risk it.
