Not so curious as to if I can be one ut as to what the other job may be. Cuz if it's female only then you could presume the other would be male only.

I seriously doubt SE will make dancer female only. If you watch the new WOTG trailer, you'll see there are two hume males dancing along on the stage behind the female in the foreground, they just aren't wearing the AF.

I'm also pretty positive that's not the full AF, since there isn't a NPC anywhere in the game that wears the "full" armor set.

Well, it could be, but like I said. No one in the game EVER wears a full set of gear, BLU NPCs are close, but they wear a different foot/hand armor set.

Bard was male only in FFT, that didn't carry over. I'm pretty sure it will be open to both sexes.

Final Fantasy 5 let Male and Female be dancers, each character had there own costume also. The males in the trailer were dancing as well so I doubt it will be female only job, but I doubt males will get that specific artifact armor or that armor, just a more manly outfit maybe something more tango like a tango outfit or something. Bartz in FF5 had that kind of an outfit I forget what the other male character wore though.

No job will be gender specific in FFXI, ever. For the simple reason: Never ever, in FFXI, never ever.



Beastmaster's Charm ability makes a female "uhhhgghh" sound but that doesn't mean Beastmasters are female only.

Guys, I wouldn't be too sure about the "male" outfit of that Dancer AF. Other than minor changes, I doubt males will get anything different, seeing how even PUP AF is identical on Male and Female (and PUP AF *does* have a feminine touch to it^^). Not that PUP AF looks bad, though, hehe.

you also gotta remember that the trailers are usually about 70% CS's and 30% real people action so my guess is its full AF also if you look at the pictures of Dancer in the new jobs section they have the full AF set just like they showed PUP COR and BLU in ToAU.

as for it being male/female my guess is both genders can be Dancer other wise it would limit peoples options. and now there could be gender specific AF this time how ever you know what they say a true man wears pink tho its kinda reddish if you ask me but LOL it would be so funny to see a man with a little pink-red tutu halter top and a rose in their hair (wonder what the no hair people get? x.x)LOL

They probably just haven't finished AF yet. I guess we should be glad that AF will finally be ready when the expansion comes out.

If you read how they stated the job it sounds as if it will be female only even without looking at AF. Who knows they might have another job for males only.

If they were do to that then BRD would be for males only like in FFT.. so I don't see that happening.

As for AF I think the male ones would be altered a little like how it is for male/female wearnig manteels, the girls get a magical bra instead of the bare chest.

I think males will get to play, but their AF set will be a totally different model with the same stats. An example of this is how they do RSE for hume males and females. Same stats, but completely different armor.

You guys apparently didn't watch the video very closely... There's 2 hume male videos in those Blue coats THFs wear around 60 behind the Female Dancer at the Pup in Sandy. Here, look.
