Sylvanis :
Wow, apparently the responders didn't catch my joke.
I was trying to point out there's no information on Dancer:
if being gender only,
No AF information for Males,
how SE always reuses released armor graphics,
how the PS2 is limiting anything new for FFXI.
Just right over your heads.

I don't get exactly what you're saying, so you're saying that since PS2 is limited, there won't be a different AF for Dancer male or there won't be male Dancers at all because PS2 is limited?
First of all, the PS2 isn't on the verge of exploding due to "too many armors" in FFXI. SE said there are limitations but they're playing it smart, only adding new armor looks when needed, and that occasion is for the new jobs. While PS2 are preventing some stuff like increased inventory or adding new weapon types, there is still A LOT more stuff the PS2 can handle. While the PS2 is slowly reaching its limit, it still has a lot left it can do, or else SE wouldn't be making new expansions at all.
Also, the Dancer debate has been done in this entire thread, just read it.
If Dancer was female only and can only be female only because of "PS2 limitations", then SE would be better off releasing another job instead of Dancer where all gender AFs look similar.
To sum up the basic reason why Dancer shouldn't/couldn't be female only is because it'll be unfair to players who have male characters.
FFXI isn't WoW or some other MMORPG, FFXI actually lets you switch jobs AND you have to do thousands of hours worth of quests/missions for your character.
WoW, for example, has certain race specific classes and stuff, but that doesn't really matter much because you can't change classes like in FFXI, and things don't take thousands of hours to finish like in FFXI.
WoW forces you to create a new character everytime you want to play a new class, but the quests/missions don't take as long to complete like in FFXI.
Oh and remember this next time. Why is there wedding armor for females only?
The game developers actually answered that question.
They simply thought there wasn't a need to add a special equipment for the groom, they thought that "They can wear a nice looking armor". Basically while it is acceptable for the groom to go to a wedding with an armor, it is not aceptable for the bride, or so they might have thougt.
You've got to admit that in our western society the groom's outfit is something that a man could wear for any important event, there's not such a thing as a male wedding specific attire. The bride wedding dress however is something that a woman can only wear at a wedding.
That answers that.
Also, Bride or Wife isn't a job in FFXI. If Wife/Bride was a job in FFXI with an AF wedding dress, there would certainly be a Husband/Groom with an AF tuxedo or something.
Both AF pieces would have the same stats of course.
