I admit, I was 100% surprised that DNC is happening. With a 75BRD already done, I have to say I'm intrigued by the potential dancer crossover potential, and might take up DNC instead. Now my only question is, what about the Time Mage that everyone has been saying was a given for months? That was my shoo-in next job, and if the new job set turns out to be Time Mage, Dancer, and Geomancer (or Berserker, for that matter), god only knows which direction I'll go! Anyone else heard any whispers about the other jobs, or have any speculation after this trailer?
P.S. At the end of the trailer, with the PLD looking over the cliff at the Atomos, WTF is that thing standing with him? A CaitSith?
So, now that DNC is happening, what else?

If Time Mage is in, they probably announced Dancer first to keep everyone surpised and in suspense. I mean come on, since when do you introduce new jobs with such a wierd job?

Yeah, I was surprised that they announced Dancer and not Time Mage. And I'm fully expecting that they announce Time Mage at the Fan Fest. If they don't announce 2 jobs, then I don't see any tank-style job coming out. The game goes live 4 days after the Fan Fest...

I do remember it being kinda clear that Necromancer's a no-go for sure, but I dunno about another tank job to be honest. The first BLUs tanked on my server all the way to 75. Maybe just a straight DD, DNC for support, and TIM for mage?
Also, was reading the other threads with people bitching about the dancer scenes not showing enough abilities. If I recall, the first ToAU teaser was all normal, and then at the VERY end they show heat breath and 1k needles, and everyone almost shit themselves over it. SE really did well with the suspense this time.
Also, the showing of Karaha-Baruha was exciting - he plays a huge role in the SMN story and Windurstian history. Also, I just watched the trailer again. Notice that Tzee Xicu was hovering?

Yeah, it did look like Caitsith or whatever and yeah, Tzee Xicu is magical and a supernatural power manifest, so the least she can do is levitate and lift a staff up with her mind. Wussy. I'm betting on Mime and (insert other job here that isn't Time Mage, Geomancer or some other retarded shit) as the next two jobs, because it would be very funny to me if the whole expansion is about time travel and they don't put in Time Mage. Time Mage is a stupid idea anyway.

I'm betting on Cannoneer to fill the roll of "Chemist" As we all know I'm sure, Canonneers whip out these cannons from no where, throw items in, and "Open Fire" to do random effects and such.
I'm judging this from A) Bastok has a guild with a Cannon on it, which was as the NPC puts it "Supposed to be a guild untill the accident happened"
I keep seeing Cannons in Expansion Trailers. C) Would fit the War-Time feel.
Cannoneers were only in FFV remake, and in the upcoming FFTA2.

One of my friends came up with a job he'd like to see, which would hopefully have tanking capabilities: Mystic Knight. I don't know much about them, but he seems enthusiastic about them.

Actually Cannoneer AF is derived from an Admiral, and Corsair is a Pirate.
But yeah Corsair is FFVA version of Cannoneer, notice, Cannoneer and Necromacner were added in FFVA, when Puppetmaster and Corsair were added in FFXI, very similiar indeed.

I think Time Mage is entirely possible, especially given the storyline of this new expansion. It would please me to see a new tank class though... it's about time!

MDC.....Medic(Chemist) mayhaps?? I've had ideas about how chemist could be used for a long time ("spells" to make r/e stackable meds)....a new tank job would be nice but a new main healing job would be super as well XD
