btw Rafael your an idiot no jobs were ever inteded to be male or female only or they would be and this game would be as stupid as WoW. Also if SE were to update the jobs to make them female and male only what would they do about the people who already leveled them and put time and money into leveling it? I know for a fact SE wouldnt do something as stupid as that just for the one new job they are adding to fit in. The AF wont be a completely different set but will look the way it should for guys. I agree with Corrderio this thread and all the others should be locked in fact this whole section should get locked and should stay that way until the expansion comes out so people will stop being stupid about the most obvious shit.

If you look at past comments threw out the forum I have said only difference. Guy's have pants, girls have panties sometimes and Cor is the only one vie seen that AF body has a lil more fem twick to it. However, for this SE would have to do a complete 360, which I have never seen them, do what so ever. I took the time to look at that whole AF set, it is not even a skirt it is a scarf with short pants. If you look at the whole thing close, I could see a male wearing that with some changes not many. The head and the shoes, cannot say a male would look god awful in the tops, because males look very sexy in the JSE top for bard. But also people don’t seem to realize this AF is based off male Mambo Dancer clothes. All of it is what you would see on a male Mambo Dancer just the shirt would be longer. No hair piece, the sharf is something they would have sometimes but not with a fem look. And the pants are longer on them.

Uhm, althought i can't deny this, the alternative answer to this issue has the very same problem.

What you believe is that Dancer will be a gender specific job and this would ALSO be "a complete 360, which you have never seen them do whatsoever."

But the two things aren't completely balanced, because gender specific equipments do exists. Equipments with the Female symbols and Male symbols existed from the very beginning of the game. But there's never been such a thing as something gender specific, never, except for visual purposes, as for the pure game play, battle and combat statistic there's never been a difference.

So we have never had so far something even remotedly game related that was barred to either sex

But we do have equipments that for visual purposes (and just for visual purposes) differ depending on sex.

The only problem is that there's never been such a thing as a gender specific AF. However which one would be the biggest step? Making a gender specific job or making a gender specific AF?

there really is no proof this is even the AF people just think so,its is very likly but many jobs have gear that only that job can use but isnt AF who knows

On the other sites for the other jobs, they show the other sexes in the AF and not only just one sex. I am not saying it is a one sex job just trying to explain why people are saying what there saying. They do not need to show all the races for females for it. You know it is female if it is Hume, mithra or whatever has a vagina to it.

I don't follow the logic here. They don't need to show all races to prove it's no race specific job, but they NEED to show all sexes to prove it's not gender specific? Why?

I'm going to ignore all of the arguements made up to this moment to point something out.

Do you guys mean "a 180º turn?" Your arguments lack any real power if you keep saying 360 degree turns. 360 degrees is a Circle. This means after you finish turning you're still going in the direction you started. 180 implies you turn completely around and go the other way. It's also the correct expression.

And on a final note for this post. FFXI is not a game about Fashion. Look at all the THFs and the gear most of them wear. If you honestly gear that much about how your character looks, then get over it. Cause most of the best combinations of gear look pretty darn gay or ugly.

The thing I'm more worried about is which beastmen are gonna have this as a job related class and how horrible will it look to get killed by a dancing orc. :o_O It would just be purely embarrasing.

Due to the fact Orcs already have Battle Dance and Fanatic Dance (Dynamis NMs only) Orcs will probably get Dance. Yagudo will get one and Quads another.

Orcs and Yagudo I can imagine...Quadav, I cannot. I doubt Dancer will be in more than 1 Beastmen race, since most advanced jobs are specific to a race of Beastmen(NIN, SAM = Yagudo, etc)
