and yes while blm is forced to solo from lvl 65 to 75 and whm can't get a party that range either we don't need any more mages until we figure out how to play the ones we have again. ToAU ruined hundreds of mages I know I was one of them who watched 15 mil of hard earned gear drop in value like a galka skydiver without a parachute it added soloability to the job but in turn blm gave up it's heart and soul the Magic burst, and people lost confidence in the manaburn. Whm's have become obsolete with parties trading them in for younger newer models in the form of the long exploited Rdm. I can't count the xping population of smn's on Kujata on 1 hand yes we need no more mages because we have abused, misused, and tormented the ones we already have. I am a 75 blm, 75 rdm and lvl 65 whm and I wouldn't wish it on a crack whore, Curing is a curse and I'd never want to do it again.

You're a moron.

Lol at least I use complete sentences to prove my case. You must be a soloing blm they are very proud of thier new soloing abilities and you can always tell an old school blm from a noob blm, simply by insulting thier soloing ability.

Um..... BLMs hate soloing... At least all the ones I know do. Its so much slower then meleeburning.

Killface, if you have such a problem with the way most mage jobs are played why don't you level sam, mnk, war, nin, thf, drk, bst, blu, cor, pup, drg, or rng? I would suggest pld but that sorta involves healing too. It's not like your forced to level smn, whm, rdm, brd, or blm you know.

Icywave :
Daggers already became Swords from the last update and it still needs an overhaul ? :o_o

Only for THF as I'm pretty sure it's only the THF daggers that got boosted damage if that is what you're talking about.

Killface :
all 1 handed weapons need an overhaul

Err, no they don't. If that happened then we'd be back to where we were before 2-handed got buffed up. Dagger could use a boost, possibly Sword (and Club but no one cares about that) but that's it.

Actually my main character has played for 5 years now, I enjoy lvling new jobs and have always enjoyed exp parties at all lvls of the game, something about learning new things thrills me. My job levels are:
thf, rng, blm, drg, rdm 75,
whm 65, blu 64,
pld, smn 60,
war, nin 50,
drk 48
mnk 37
brd, cor 32
I collect AF sets, quested weapon skills and spend lots of time farming and meriting these days.
when soloing or farming I prefer to straight tank rather than the fight and run away tactic used by most thfs, which some find foolish or crazy but I find it exciting and enjoy the challenge (No Fear!!).
I'm part of the best dynamis LS in Kujata, and work hard alongside my sky/sea LS.

I personally can't wait to play with Dancer, it's the unexplored Frontier and I hope it's a self sufficient job that has soloing capability to rival my thf's survivability which is considerable. I am a retired mage after spending my first 2 years at the beck and call of 2 prior HNMLS's which is no way to play and is certainly not any fun.

I simply feel SE intends to balance the game, not to create an elite few jobs that everyone wants to play for an easy ride to 75, that is not good for the lower end and it's not good for the endgame. Everyone wants to be on top but when the fat lady sits on the skinny man's head gravity eventually has it's say.

See I'm not a complete noob I've worked hard, payed my dues and I like everyone else strive for success, I just feel until we use all jobs to thier full potential this game will never be the final fantasy, games should not mirror reality. After all, we all play to escape the corporate and socioeconomic problems in life yet we bring them with us into an activity that is designed to be an escape.

I am sure it is also SE's goal to balance all the jobs (18 currently),
and to create an environment in which "No jobs shall be discriminated against in any given situations."

However unfortunately like the real life ... in the game, the perfection is also near impossible to achieve.

The game is made by people, not God.
There are many human errors as well as the unexpected factors can throw off the so-called "balance".
From the relic knuckles' TP100-return unstoppable Asuran, to the lately 2-handed weapon outrageous update,
SE is trying to achieve that ideal balance, tho not every attempt is successful. (Overly-productive becomes Anti-productive)

The various-and-many spells & job abilities became even more various-and-many, with the sub job system.
Sometimes it seems like it is too much to handle for the whole SE testing team.
And at the same time, new jobs are continuously being added to the game because of the public demand.
Hence some of them are under-developed (IE: PUP)

I do think SE needs to slow down it's pace, or throw more human resources in the game-developing and testing,
before they can try to fence off the competitions from the other newer MMORPGs.
After all, a solid and all-the-way-rounded plan is the only plan that can make an ever-lasting game.

But then again, it's their managements and policies.. I am just a player w

Staying ON TOPIC...

I don't have any qualms with it as long as it stacks with normal debuffs.
