I'm having trouble getting the Pumpkin head from the undead NPC's. I heard that giving several different sweets increases your chances but that hasn't worked for me at all. And of course, I have to wait a game day before giving the same sweet again. Is there some sort of trick that can help me? Thank you.

Did you try giving the same treat to all the npcs in the zone then move to another zone and repeat?

Last year, most of the people I know just spammed cookies.

You don't have to wait a game day to give the same sweet in order to get items. That's only in order to get a costume. If you get a costume once from a sweet, you need to wait a game day to get another costume for the same sweet (though you can give another type of sweet and you'll get another costume right away..).

For items, it's actually preferred to give the same sweet over and over, since the first sweet always gives you a costume that you have to remove anyways.

As for me, I traded 99 cookies and only got 2 items. I'm too broke for this, and I'm sure as hell not farming for a Horror Head.

I got all of the event items with less than 99 cookies, I bought 10 of each kind of cookie and traded one of each kind to different NPCs and it worked great. It is random, but I think it increased the odds fo rme as I got all of the items pretty fast. I would never stand there and just keep trading the same cookie over and over (although SE says it works).

Doh! And here I thought SE changed how items were exchanged this year. Anyway, spam trade still works.

Tossed my old treat staff II for a new fully charged one and just macro'd ginger cookies. I changed npc when I got an item and only had to trade three before I got what I wanted. Took about 150ish ginger cookies and might've been less if I hadn't stuck with the first one for so long even though she gave me an item on first trade (no roaming costumes, so I didn't get transformed).

Edit: Wait... the event ended a few hours ago, this info is useless now....
