I am trying this soon. Is this mob different from other mobs as far as being kited, or does it require....

a blink tank (even RDM/NIN works), a WHM for Stona, RDM for enfeebles.

DRK/NIN & RDM/DRK can kite indeffiently.
DRK just kites and absorb-tp, RDM grav.

You can do it for hours waiting for people.

I think the longest my friend has done it for was 3hours.

Kite it around the cactus near where he pops and anyone with /nin can kite it forever, any job, with easy. You just have to periodically hit him with something to make sure you don't lose claim and cause a depop, making a mage job much more idyllic obviously, since with blm you could spam stun, sleep, and bind, rdm dispel, blind, sleep, etc, and whm para, slow, gravity.

My LS(in our prime) simply straight tanked KV with a maxed EVA nin to hold, it was cake. I have some screens of me sitting infront of KV and him wiffing me like a lv1 bunny

NIN EVA holding is -without doubt- the easiest route to keeping him around (although you may want two people just incase he does Critical Bite and lolbye's you *or is the enmity reset only applied when it actually hits you? <.<*).

Nice little trick in particular by the way, are Bat Earrings for such a thing.

NIN/DRK + DRK/NIN could probably hold until the end of time without even needing to move (until you get GM'd!).

When ever I have eva tanked him I on average get hit maybe twice and I have never noticed a drop in enmity from it, my only problem is having DRK's Absorbing TP. Well its not a problem just makes it a bit tougher to keep him on me lol. My Ls would just have me on NIN to hold while everyone got there shit together and came out. Was funny stuff to see some other LS's try to straight tank hold with enmity/haste gear nins, they got worked, so they went back to kiting XD

Had a rdm/nin with crimson cuisses kite this till we got there, and he was pretty much untouched, keeping ahead of KV.

He was spamming bioIII every time he could, and wasn't phasing it one bit, but I guess if you had 125hp regen tick also, bioIII wouldn't bother you either lol.

I'm a little bit confused about when this NM can pop in regards to maintenance.

Classified as the twenty-fourth hour directly after maintenance, for his "window", in which can pop directly after servers are up (once weather has appeared).

That's a sentence from KV's wiki page. The first part basically says it *can* pop 24 hours after maintenance, while the 2nd part of the sentence says it *can* pop after maintenance ends. errr yeah, so is it either/or?
