Kind of a dead board, but this is really pissing me off, so...

I've been raising a red female, EmpressIV, for the past three months, kind of bungled the first two weeks of adulthood due to a super busy IRL schedule so I wasn't able to meet the DSC requirements for my stories of choice by day 64 (those stories being Gallop and Canter). I've raced her up to "A Bit Deficient" DSC with the stat boost tokens, and for some reason I can't learn Gallop, which by all accounts is available at 'Deficient'. For the past five or six days I've kept max bond and spammed the Impatient Chocobo story for all of her HP bar, and no luck.

Is this normal, and do I just have shitty luck? Or can you not learn stories at day 64+? I'm kind of attached to this bird, first one and all, so I'd rather not lose her. I've read all the guides and haven't found much to address this. Here are her stats, if that helps. Thanks in advance.

You need Average Disc or better. I know it says you can at your level but it is rare and pure luck. It took me almost a week of spamming the story repeatedly to get my bird to learn it at average and only a couple days at better than.
