To be frank, if a paladin no spend more than 5 mil on the armor, he is no worth talking about.
That’s made obviously clear so I come to introduce a story.

Being counted on help of my shell girl, who is certainly real girl in real world, I went to the nest to get an Exoray Mold. The nest had had plenty of leveling bunch, though.
Since it was too heavy laggy and bothering, fortunately she (female) was a RedMage so we got along with each other to overhunt mushrooms a little bit.
As we wiped mushrooms out, I received from some BeastMasters several times but I just ignored them.
It took about a minute to kill a mushroom, with refresh, we kept killing mobs restless
She (female) became silent, being surprised of the efficiency.
And you need HQ arms to keep this efficiency.

The paladin that has overwhelming survivability and a redmage, this combination was to charm all the people, including beastmasters, in the nest.
Being examined by strangers again and again, the paladin will be approved of more substantial life than real life.

Paladin, have you heard famous rumor of endangered black mage? One day black mage in my linkshell, who is real girl, really, real life, was trying to win the battle of 99 kindred seals. "Who will help me," she said. Bard and other black mages in linkshell said yes, we will help. Ninja said softly that he will help too. Black mage girl who is real girl and is shy did not want to tell dirty ninja that he was not good in skills for fighting a dragon battle. "What will I do," she asked me in a private setting. "We must locate paladin for this battle, for ninja is dirty and unskilled and paladin owns gluttony sword."
then riding on his amazing green chocobo, paladin arrived in balgas dias. Ninja was there and said, "what is this. what is this paladin? am I not tank enough?"
Black mage was sad because she had to say something rude. what would she do? Paladin who is skilled and modest said to ninja, I am sorry ninja, but you are dirty and black mage girl needs REAL tank for this battle.
Ninja was upset. You will never win he said. Never without me.
We entered the battle arena and paladin was incredibly, paladin killed monster with SATA Vorpal blade.
Ninja, who is dirty and weak, said this is not a good! and he walked out side and committed death explosion on a poor yagudo because he is dirty and coward.

Tendael :
Prelude:

"A Ninja may do his best to keep himself alive, but a Paladin will always do his best to keep alive his friends." - Ancient Proverb

In Vana'diel there are two lines of kings. Paladins, who seek honor and glory... and Ninjas, who seek power and wealth. In times of crisis the line of Paladins rush to the eruption of conflict to put and end to the lives of the corrupt and villainous. In times of peace the line of Ninjas extort their way into power to obtain selfish ends. Although many people love their Paladin kings, some people are seduced by the false promises Ninjas make. Under the rulership of Ninjas, the people of Vana'diel are lured into an easy and comfortable life; but it is under the cloak of deception that Ninjas most easily steal their treasure from the coffers of the people.

Paladins have always fought bravely on the front lines, invoking the enemy to fight with honor. They hide nothing and stand for truth. In the instance of defeat, the Paladin stood bravely to repel the enemy as his allies fled in retreat. In many cases Paladins have died fighting that which they had no match to keep their party safe. Yet, the Paladins do not seek reward for their deeds. They only seek to uphold their glorious name. Ninjas fight with trickery and lies. They have no honor in battle. They use whatever means available to defeat their opponents. In most cases, a Ninja will hide behind a veil of shadows and blind his enemy with fear. Under the guidance of Ninjas, many people have been softened to battle and jaded from the thrill of victory. They have forgotten of past times where the Paladins reigned, and have forgotten how to fight.

In some cases a Paladin will be corrupted into becoming a Ninja. As he sells away his precious armours, he invests his money in black-market tools and devices. He becomes addicted to the unrestrained style of Ninjas, soon becoming sinful and jealous. He loses compassion for allies, obtains an unmatched arrogance, and develops a deadly hatred for everything that exists. The Paladin in him becomes dead and forgotten. Their story is most depressing.

~

There was a time long ago where Paladins and Ninjas were at the pinnacle of their existance. I was a Dragoon at the time, seeking nothing particular from the world. Many people were divided between two factions: those under the leadership of Ninjas and those under the leadership of Paladins. These kingdoms were oft at odds with each other. They competed for money and treasure from some of the most feared monsters of the land. I happened to be in a Paladin kingdom, and the people were humble and content. I was a good friend of a Paladin-king in our alliance. He was one of the veteran kings, who had fought many battles and rose very high in status. He taught me many things in the art of war, especially about the honor of battle.

One day my king journeyed to the old land of Altepa in search of a rare treasure. Hoping to help him, I followed. When our party arrived to the outpost Rabao we witnessed a Ninja's alliance rallying for battle. My king quickly dispatched our two mages to investigate the matter. When they returned, they reported that the Ninja's alliance was preparing for a large battle against the Scorpion King: Vinegaroon. My king's face turned violently red, as he shook his fist in anger. “He will lead those people to death! No one has faced the Scorpion King and lived! Quickly, my warriors, go to their aid!” He ordered us to proceed to the location of the battle with weapons drawn, ready to face the beast ourselves. We mounted our Chocobos and charged in their location.

As we neared them, we saw something that would forever haunt our memories.

The Scorpion King quickly slaughtered the Ninja’s alliance, decimating their melee defenses in minutes. The support mages began to run, some trying to cast the Warp spell on themselves. The Ninja king of the alliance was seen weakened in the distance, trying to recover from his wounds. As the Scorpion King finished off the stragglers, he proceeded slowly upon the Ninja to seal his doom. But, to his surprise, the Ninja did not run. He looked squarely at the demon, then began to charge towards it. In that second we saw a blast of flame from the collision that shook the ground and forced us to cover our eyes. As we looked again we saw the Scorpion King, and the Ninja King, dead on the ground. My king quickly went to the scene of the battle and dismounted his steed. He raised the Ninja from battle in hopes of his recovery. My comrades and I looked at each other with discontent, for it was against Paladin code to interfere with another alliance’s business; or aid a Ninja in any way. One of the White Mages under my command began to tear up. As my king finished raising the Ninja, we saw him stand before us with a roguish grin on his face. "I've defeated the Scorpion King single-handedly, and you were there to witness! My foolish alliance was too weak to handle the heat of battle, and deserved their death as such. I ask you do not raise them, but to continue on your journey and leave me be." My king looked at us, then the Ninja, then mounted his chocobo and rode off. We eerily followed him back home without obtaining the thing we originally sought.

The days following the incident my king grew very ill. He stayed in his moghouse more and more, requesting that his servants bring him food and medicine. I went one day to check on his condition, but his temper was displeasing and I left abruptly. He seemed spiteful of something, or someone, and I grew suspicious of the Ninja's effect on him.

A week later my king traveled to the dark city of Norg. He said he was going to find some remedial herbs for his sickness. I did not follow him this time, knowing he was not in the appropriate mood for company. He went missing over the past weeks, sending none of his White Mage emissaries back to give word. Some of the men under my own company jumped to rumours that he was either dead or captured by the vicious Sahagin beastmen.

Two months after his departure, he came back alone. He was dressed oddly in black chainmail, and his prized shield was missing. No respectful Paladin parts with his shield. His excuse claimed that it was stolen by his White Mages, and that they had fled from his command. The Great King of our kingdom issued a search party to Norg to find and kill them, but I do not remember of their success. My king continued to sulk in his moghouse, ordering more and more each day. His requests began to grow stranger each week, from things as rare as black ink and bast parchments to things as common as wind crystals. I've never heard of a medicine that required those ingredients. Later he began to sneak out at night. I could see him from the auction house as he passed through the city gates. I waited long hours into the dark for his return, only to see him bloodied and beaten from a distance. He did not notice me. I realized he had been fighting something alone. He continued this for two months, seemingly more vicious and stronger each night.

On the morning of the first day of the third month, he came to me to ask that I follow him to Ru'lude Gardens. When I asked what it was for, he told me I was summoned for an experiment. It was hard to ignore the peculiar smirk on his face. I kept my distance as we past through the streets of Jeuno. Upon arriving, we came upon an elvaan woman in black clothes. He told me to wait as he discussed something with the woman, then gave me a parchment. He told me to give it to her, and I looked at him sympathetically. He returned the look with a hateful glance, but I noticed a look in his eyes that told me he was hiding something.

Then, just as I traded the woman the parchment, I was suddenly teleported to a red-barren land.

It was surprisingly similar to a beastman camp I remember raiding during my training as a Dragoon in San d'Oria. I looked around for my friend, but found myself alone. Then, from a few yards away, I heard someone laugh uncontrollably. “Do you remember the day we saw the Ninja defeat the Scorpion King?” I looked around for the stranger, but fell short of spotting anything living. “I was inspired by his skill. His power was immense.” I retorted. “Yes, he may have some skill, his honor was lacking. He led many of his men to die for his own ends.” I continued to look around for the phantom, edgily walking towards a cave in the distance. “They were weak. They were inferior. They deserved the death they received. Only the Ninja was strong enough to defeat his enemy that day.” I heard something move. “Honor is a lost word. It has no meaning. It is a distraction that keeps people from obtaining their true destiny.” I then turned around and saw him. My friend, my king, standing before me in a Ninja’s garments. His katanas were unsheathed. I exclaimed with surprise, “My lord! What are you doing?!” He chuckled as he looked at me. “You’ve been one of the mightiest Dragoons under my command, my friend, and that is why I’ve given you the honor of being my first victim.” I remember wondering to myself whether or not it was a nightmare. “You could be killed for saying such things! The Paladin Kings will not permit such blasphemy!” He began to walk towards me. “I am no longer under the authority of your self-righteous Paladin Kings, nor am I under the obligations of their pitiful order. I am a new man now, I’ve embraced what has been kept from me all my life.” He stopped short of me, waiting for my response; but my words failed me. I could not help by remain frozen with the shock of his betrayal. At last, I summoned the courage to ask, “My friend, what has happened to you? Why are you doing this?” But, he had no mercy on me. He laughed a last time and told me with a reluctant fury, “You are the only one who I feared could defeat me, but now my skills are too great for you. I’ve strengthened a thousand-fold with my new powers, and now, where we stand, I shall prove it!” He then engaged me in combat.

His katanas were fast, and he quickly dodged my blows. Just when I though I hit him, only his shadow disappeared without a trace. I became quickly confused by the speed of his attacks. I felt slow and helpless to his dark magicks. I then called for my trusted wyvern, commanding him to seek out my opponent. With his help we fended ourselves off from the fury of the Ninja’s blades. He then disappeared momentarily, and reappeared even farther away. “You’ve some courage to stand up to me. I’m surprised you haven’t run away by now. Make this easy on yourself…” But I was far from fleeing, and came at him with all my will. I struck his shadows one-by-one, until he was defenseless. I then leapt upon him with a jump and landed a crucial blow to his torso. He reared back and attempted to recast his Ninjutsu magick. I did not permit this, as I landed two more blows. He then cast a quicker spell before I could react, blinding me painfully. He struck me multiple times as I tried to parry his blows with my spear. I jumped back quickly and allowed my wyvern to heal my scars. I could tell we were both weary from fighting. I didn’t know how much longer I could last. But my wyvern understood the situation too well, and transformed without hesitation into an orb of energy that merged with mine. We became one. I then rushed back in to battle and depleted his shadows again in short time. I landed a series of blows to him, each one greater than the last. I could hear him cry in pain. He disappeared once again, this time a little longer, and reappeared near a cliff. He was on the verge of collapsing, but coldly starred at me. “Do you not understand? Do you not know of my potential? Gods shall bow to my will! Your efforts are meaningless against me!” I noticed the hysteria in his tone. I calmly assured him of his errors as I responded. “You are wrong, my friend. Your betrayal has left you a hollow power that will drive you to your death. Please don’t do this to yourself.” But he was inconsolable. He rushed at me with the same ferocity and speed that the other Ninja displayed when delivering the final blow to the Scorpion King. With the revelation of his intentions, I felt a sharp pain in my heart. He was impatient, though, and forgot to defend himself with more shadows from his Ninjutsu. Right before he closed in to end me, I delivered the notorious move “Penta Thrust” to him, knocking him to the ground. He became silent and still. Then, he coughed violently as he said to me a horrible thing. “You and all your kind are weak. I’ve yet to finish my training, and I’ve yet to show you what I can do. My power is unfulfilled!” He attempted to stand, but fell back on the ground and began to cough more loudly. I felt a horrendous sorrow. “You are as good as dead now. Everything you once were has gone. You are not the friend I used to have. You took his life, and I will forever resent you for that.” With that I left him whimpering on the ground; blood-soaked and defeated.

I returned to my kingdom with the ill news of my recent king’s demise. Some wept as I told the news, and some were convinced I was lying. They soon retracted as I displayed my wounds. Later that day, the Great King summoned all the Paladins of our alliance to a meeting, and requested me to come. There was much commotion as we gathered, and a nervous tension was present in the air. Then, with a dispelling voice, the Great King proclaimed, “We’ve witnessed a sad day in our kingdom’s history. The defection of one of our once loyal Paladins has brought us to the realization that we are all suspect to corruption. Those responsible for these horrible events include the Ninjas themselves. It is upon these grounds that I call for a declaration of war on the Ninja Kingdoms.” With that announcement the circle burst into a roar of approval. As the excitement died down, the Great King followed up his speech. “We are aware of the situation due to the courage and bravery of one of our greatest Dragoons. He stands among us now having prevented insurrection in our kingdom. His heroic deeds are commendable, and we now regard him as among the highest ranks in our alliance: that of Paladin.” He then drew out a glorious sword and presented it to me ceremonially. “I hereby knight thee. Thou shall defend our people and uphold the Paladin name until ye die.” I was then knighted, and the crowd fell silent with awe. I took hold of the king’s sword and raised it to the heavens, swearing on my life to bring justice to the evil that consumed my friend. As a Paladin, I was now devoted forever to that promise.

It is here that we draw closure to the prelude of the War of Kings. As it turns out, my once friend had recovered from the recent battle and was last seen building an army in the Bastok region. Intelligence leaked of his plans to lead an alliance to the sacred ruins of Ro’Maeve in hopes of finding a stairway to the heavens. It is common knowledge that Ro’Maeve is not only a holy place, but also one of the most dangerous places in all of Vana’diel. We had no idea of his intentions once he got there, but we knew he was planning something evil. We rallied our kingdom on the outskirts of Jeuno, preparing an arduous journey through the fields of Rolanberry and gloomy marshlands of Passhow. The stage is now set for war, the time quickly closing in, and the unspoken fear of apocalypse chilling the minds of all our people. We are the last chance for Vana’diel to be redeemed, but there is also a personal duty that only I can resolve through vengeance.

One day I was in Ronfoure and sweeping rabbits that are placeholders of a NM.
As killing rabbits by Holy, which is beyond beginner paladin’s control
I was suddenly examined three times in a row by a man.
“I understand why you look at me, this magic is not common at low level, though this is a magic so arms are unrelated” I told.
But no reaction, probably he doesn’t trust me.
Even if he doesn’t trust me, he will get to give up when he notice the price of my mantle at AH.
The man in best legendary arms is popular among women because girls long for strong men.
If you wear strongest arms, the energy you create becomes almost visible as aura.
I don’t mean to boast, but a girl has expressed me “Are you Ichiro of vanadiel” in leveling party.
