1. You and people like you camping that because you *might* need it could be dicking that poor blm/rdm/smn/whm who actually *does* need it.
That point is kinda moot. If the blm/rdm/smn/whm
needs it. They will get it. If you end up not needing it. You wasted your own time.
Then can butt hurt all they like about someone camping something which it's questionable that they'll need, but last I checked, you can't call a GM on that, so they can go cut themselves or whatever the cool kids do these days.
2. People raise the price of crap based off this thinking to get rich off your ferver. And it works because you're willing to buy something at an increased price because you *might* need it. gg to that blm/rdm/smn/whm who now cant afford that.
If demand increases. Price will too. Good luck stopping that.
If Scholar ends up not needing it:
3. Once you and those like yourself realize SE dropped the ball on gear selection, hello undercutting rush.
I guess other mages wont be happy that the price goes down, will they? Maybe if they brought one before the crash, but they
need it and you'll have just lost gil.
Crafters may get pissed off, but they're to blame for being idiots. If people still cannot see the price changes pre-expansion coming, they're just dumb really.
Anyway, crafters normally benifit from an expansion due to an influx of new gear they can over charge on.
