Sorry for not researching the forums, and ffxiclopedia.org isnt helping too much. IS biast 21-24? weather? whats going on with him. I have seen him once, BST's say they kill it all the time, but i camp him for days and he never pops.

wiki lies hes not 21-24. he in essence is like chary when u kill Shadow Dragon he might pop(idk if it actually works on %'s or if it is time based past 24). i've camped him from 21-27hour point and still came out empty handed. the 21 hour cool down i think is correct but after that its kinda up in the air.

It's not a 21-24. If you look at the Alla thread there's a guy who killed him 10 consecutive times 32-39 hours apart, finally getting his helm on Full Moon. There's another guy who spawned Biast while running back from Black Coney. I recently got my helm (1/2, thank god). Killed him once in full moon, once in new moon (Drop), 39 hours apart. The "Shadow Dragon" that spawns Biast after it dies is probably a Shadow Dragon lotto during full/new moon, or there's just some chance Biast will spawn if any Shadow Dragon is killed during New/Full moon.

I made that page, btw, so it isn't any more credible than what I just said. Herro there wiki!

ftr. Shadow Dragon is normally after Lost Souls but before Ice Elemental/Ghosties in the Wide Scan list. If you see him somewhere else, that's probably the one that's going to pop Biast. I got lazy and didn't check and make sure the dragon was in the same place in the order before I killed him both times I killed him. <,<

Fuck Biast....

Killed it once no drop, then came back next day from 21-28 hr mark and nothing and my friend camped for 3-4 hours after I left with no pop. That was the only time I've ever seen Biast up. I used to OP there and go check for it on occasion with no luck. I would have liked to have gotten this and the Carect Ring(whole other horror story...) before I stopped playing.

Anyone know the conditions of Biast after maint? Is it open directly after or is it open 21 hours after maint?

21+hr pop anywhere after the 21 mark he can pop iv seen him go 4 days w/o poping b4 im 7/10

My theory is that Biast is 21-24hr repop....but you have to kill 21-24hours worth of Shadow Dragons....so 30min repop...48 Shadow Dragons will spawn inside of 24hrs...After 42 Shadow Dragons have been killed his window opens...and the chance of him spawning out of the next 6 Dragons begins.

I have yet to test this theory lol.....maybe when I get a week off or something lol....but dont really feel like sitting out there for a few days;;

could make money while doing that if lumbers r worth anything on your sever. one time i walked away with 6 lumbers in 7 hrs not bad for a whm/blm just wondering around killing for 30mins waiting for a chance at biast (who never poped 29hrs afetr ToD no pop ftl)

1/1 Biast, helped a Nin in my LS beat him. But yeah i've been through Xarca so many times and never seen him pop. Only time i've seen him was that one time my Nin friend had him claimed.


Oh yeah I got the helm as well lol. 926 lot and he lotted 924 lol...
