IMPORTANT: If you include a camp, please try to be as specific as you can. That includes camp positions, personal experiences, use of food, approximate charm rates, pets used, etc.

Credit for these camps and this thread goes to: Brythnoth, Eaze, GamezAsura, Spira, Tsuko, Baloth, Kendo, Baramore, Akioremora, Aluvien, Goldengreg, and Ceowolf.

================= Level 10 to 20 =================

Level: 11-21
Area: West Sarutabaruta[S]

Lv 11-13 Tiny Lyco's
Just outside the main gate, there's TONS of them running around, plus with the zone right there, charm resistant mandies are food for choice there.

Lv 13-15 Savhanna Rabbits
In between the maw and the entrance to Windurst Waters is where they hang mostly out, not as much in the area as the mandies though.

Lv 15-18 Bumblebees (Camp G-6)
Noticed them there after I came back after pt'ing for a few in the dunes with some buddies, but i wouldn't recommend them cause they like to hang out in the area's where lv 50+ Rafhlesia(sp) like to hang too (around the starfruit tree)

Lv 19-21 Crawlers
There are a few in between the first tower for outer horoto ruins and the outpost, but if ya go just south of the startfruit tree, there's a lot along there, just be careful not to go too far east cause there's a group of goblins hanging over there, always bad news there.

================= Level 40 to 50 =================

Level: 41-42
Area: North Gustaberg[S]
Position: (I-5), (I-6), (H-6), (H-7)
Pet: Coppercap [_][_][_][_][_][_]Fight: Coppercap

Xektor - Really great camp for this level if you're looking to explore the new areas. The Coppercaps are really strong and yield nice exp for the level. Their spawn is mainly around the river but they also extend up to the Quadav camp to the north. The Coppercaps have all the standard Funguar moves and link but don't aggro. There are no goblins around to bug you either, making it safe and easy chains. I think 42 would be the best level to come here, as most of the mobs will be EM; at 41 they were mostly T-.

Level: 45-47(?)
Area: Fort Karugo-Narugo[S]
Position:
Pet: War Lizard [_][_][_] Fight: War Lizard

Byrthnoth - There are lizards in the northern area of the Fort (45-47?) that would be awesome for level 45-47 BST. They're strong pets and spread out just enough to avoid links with little trouble.

Level: 45-47(?)
Area: Meriphataud Mountains[S]
Position: (D-5) (D-6) (E-5) (E-6)
Pet: Stag Beetle [_][_][_] Fight: Stag Beetle

Byrthnoth - If Lizards aren't your style, or you're looking for party xp camps, there's also a huge hill of level (45-47?) beetles right below the entrance to Sauromugue Champlaign in Meri. Mountains.

Level: 45-47
Area: East Ronfaure[S]
Position: (G-10) (H-10)
Pet: Ladybug [_][_][_] Fight: Colibri

Eaze - I'm sure it could be milked out to 47 if one felt the need to. From where you're warped to East Ronfaure [S] from your home nation, head south past the Ladybugs until you come to 3 Colibri. Just down the hill from those are two more Colibri, all EM-T. There are PLENTY of Ladybugs, so I started converting them as fast as I could until I ended up with 2 or 3 EM's. These little buggers are amazing. I could start meleeing with them right away and never once pull hate, so they tended to last 2 Colibri before I needed a new one.

The only downside to this camp is that there are 2 Skeletons that spawn there at night. However, they're only EP, so they're easily taken care of, and, as undead go, are only present for 8 Vanadiel hours. If you really want to speed things up, take a few Pet Food Zeta with you (I leveled without any food or pet food just to see how good it was and still netted 7K in about an hour and a half barring one death due to some players slaughtering my pets).

One word of advice, don't fight the Ladybugs unless you're feeling really lucky. They have an Amnesia move that nearly got me killed because I couldn't charm anything for a while after one killed my pet.

Level: 46-48(?)
Area: Meriphataud Mountains[S]
Position:
Pet: Hill Lizard [_][_][_] Fight: Hill Lizard

Byrthnoth - There are more Hill Lizards in Sauromugue Champaign that you could easily switch to after you got tired of the other camp. Night stuff bats/a dog spawn there as well, which would be a nice exp boost. I took this camp to 49, though when I found the next camp I regretted not just moving on earlier.

Level: 47-49
Area: Rolanberry Fields[S]
Position: (I-10)
Pet: Coppercap [_][_][_] Fight: Coppercap

Byrthnoth - There is a big area of Rolanberry Fields (S) with Coppercaps (47-49) that's great for 47-48 BST.

Level: 49-51
Area: Rolanberry Fields[S]
Position: (F-8)
Pet: Berry Grub [_][_][_] Fight: Berry Grub

Byrthnoth - There is another area of Rolanberry Fields with a bunch of Berry Grub (49-51) that's pretty awesome at 49.

================= Level 60 to 70 =================

Level: 60-65(?)
Area: Rolanberry Fields[S]
Position:
Pet: Slug [_][_][_] [_][_][_] Fight: Slug
Pet: Worker Crawler [_][_][_] Fight: Worker Crawler/Quadav

GamezAsura - I didn't really have much time to test this out, between DNC and LS events my partner wants a break from BST. But the lakes up in front of the Simurgh spawn are full of high HP slugs conning EM-DC to 60.
Outside of CN the worker crawlers are T-VT still while Quadav toss between VT-IT so potentially usable at these levels since there is a huge amount of pets, and enemies, probably only good for duo/trio groups.

Also, I'm not sure how fast this camp would exactly be, but the basement of CN is chock full of Processionaire and has bombs, quadavs and lizards scattered around it.

Killed a few Virulent Peiste around the entrance to Konschtat Highlands at 75.
They have some pretty annoying moves, Plagues, Paralyzes, Poisons and Petrifies your pet.
Not something you generally want to go up and melee on with your pet, plus pet switching became a necessity, since available pets are rather weak. Overally a not friendly camp spot unless you have enough BST (or other) buds to do it with.

PS: The dual wielding Guttler in OP's sig cracked me up.. don't know why, it just did.

Found an absolutely amazing camp for 45-46 in East Ronfaure [S], and I'm sure it could be milked out to 47 if one felt the need to. They have an Amnesia move that nearly got me killed because I couldn't charm anything for a while after one killed my pet. I'll be looking around for some more fun and exciting expansion-related camps for BST, so I'll reply again if I find anything else.

hows this for a new solo camp?

65?-70: Vunkerl Inlet (G-5)
Robber Crab (non-aggro), Fierce Smilodon -> Ignis Djinn

the pic was taken when i was lv70, but you can easily chain this high at lower levels too. I started at 69, and i was doing ~10k/hr (@69). At 70 it drops a fair bit. Used Carrie to continue chain.

hint: you need /RDM.

also, to those interested u might wanna try this soon cos I think it might get nerfed.

Updated. If you've posted so far but didn't post position(s) for mobs, please be sure to either message me or edit your posts so I can get the positions in there.

Sorry about that, let me try to be a bit more specific:

Camp was on the hill @ H-10, most pets were pulled from G-10 (it's right along the line of G-10 and H-10). Approximate charm rate on Ladybugs was 95%ish, including T's that I was converting. Other than that, I think I listed everything else you need. smile.gif

Lynx in Meri. Mountains should make good pets at 52-53, with Lynx in Sauromugue Champaign working 53-54 or something. I just randomly suspect they're one level higher >.>. You could probably fight raptors with them. Coeurls are bad ass.

I've gotta give the majority of the credit for this camp to Spira. I took your idea and just adjusted it to my level. Thank you soooo much! (Although my axe hates me now)

47-52 East Ronfaure [S]

Pets: Colibri and Ladybugs
Prey: Djinn
RDM sub ABSOLUTELY necessary, Sigil Refresh a Godsend
Camp: Same as Ladybug v. Colibri with a lot of roaming (start at G/H-10 and work in a circular pattern)

How-to: I suggest starting on Lightsday, as you won't have access to Blizzard or Thunder yet. Basically, let the Djinn take your pet to about 20-25%, then cast a DAMAGE spell that matches the current Vana'diel day (i.e. Dia on Lightsday, Bio on Darksday, Fire on Firesday, etc.) to make the Djinn use Nocturnal Combustion. Stay WELL back, I took an NC for 3500 once. Watch your magic use, as Djinn tend to be in pairs. Can still potentially aggro the Skeletons until 49/50, so watch that as well in addition to Ladybugs aggroing sight. Everyone will have to figure out their own pattern to roaming there.

Results: Starting at about 2500 into 47, I ended with 1300 into 52 after just around 4 hours. I wish I had screenshots, but Fraps refused to cooperate this morning, so you'll have to take my word for it. Also, they drop Djinn Arms and Ash, the former going for about 450 per to NPC, the latter 750ish to NPC. I think in total I ended with around 40K of NPC'd loot, not counting Fire Crystals coming out of my ears.

Again, I can only take credit for adapting this to my own level, I completely give all other credit to Spira for figuring out how to make these guys go boom. Thanks again!

P.S. As a sidenote, no matter how tempting it is, do NOT use Battraps to throw at Djinn. They get hit EXTREMELY hard and have very little HP compared to Colibri and Ladybugs. More often than not, using a Battrap ended in me face-down due to my character stopping long enough during Charm or Fight animation on a new pet to get NC'd. "Settle" for Chain 5 if you have to.

between 53-65 there is a possibility of doing the djinn in Batallia Downs [S]. They are plentiful there and since its an open zone there may be a good bunch of charmables there.. but i'm not too sure because I'm not in that lv range to be able to tell..

Casting 1 spell according to the current day will set the Djinn to blow up on its next TP move. Using a 2nd or more attacks greatly speed up the process. Always make sure your pet has taken hate before you cast your spell so as to avoid death by explosion. Also try to cast at near-max casting distance (21.5") in case you do take hate from that spell, and so u have some distance already and can run if it chases you (but it usually blows up soon after)

If you're using Jugs as an emergency plan, just Attack and run. Getting out of range is way more important that giving the pet hate. If you're in the distance of Snarl, you're as good as dead if u 'set' the Djinn already.

Some enmity or MP gear may also benefit u.

Ranpu: I'm 53, any new exp spots? for 53-60?

I decided to check this out myself just to see how well it is. I tried the zone Spira suggested... because Jeuno is near it's maw. It's over camping on my part, but I still got 600xp just clearing the camp without Sigil.

Running out real quick with WS, the best looking camp I found was

Pet: Smilodon(EP at 56)
Target: Djinn(DC-T at 56)
Should be good for 50-54, could probably start as early as 45 or 46 if Smilodon aren't too high.

You'll need to cast on them when your Smilodon is at about 80/85% HP, they'll blow up 5-30 seconds afterwards. I'd also say sub NIN unless you know you'll get into light/dark days, for utsusemi & the other 6 elements. If you get hate you can kite around the fortress on top of the hill with the two NPC's inside. The Djinn will never catch up to you, but your Smilodon will have no trouble at all keeping up with it. In the off chance that you do get hit and/or die, there's a Pixie that basically circles the hill & the fortress on top.

If I can find camps for my level I think I might finally get some use out of my BST relic.

Oh wow, you can use /NIN as well? That would probably be more viable to lower level BSTs since /RDM won't get the elemental spells till later. Nice find.

Went out today and tested out Tsuko's suggestion of Batallia Downs [S] His camp is right on the money. I cleared out the three Djinn around that hill, then headed NW from there where there are a few more Djinn and Smilodon pets.

Started out @ 52, ended at about 2k over 54 within an hour or so. At 54, exp seemed to take sort of a nosedive, but I'm sure you could push it to 55. However, if you're like me and did 47-54 mostly on Djinn, your axe is going to be waaaay behind (assuming you don't already have it skilled from another job). Long story short, I didn't mind moving on to a slower camp for 54-55, where I nearly capped axe and did get Rampage (thank God, if I continued to use Raging Axe I was likely going to puke). Spent 55-56 on Hellmines in Garlaige trying for a key, so I can't say as to how viable 54-56 is in Batallia Downs [S] with any real certainty.

Thanks for the tip Tsuko, and I hope this definitely gets added. I'll try to do a bit more exploring either tomorrow or Thursday around expansion areas to see what else pops up ^^

Apparently the devestation of Djinn being adjusted has caused apathy towards WotG camps. However, I like this thread, and I don't want to see it die, so I've continued exploring and run across a decent option for 57-59 (not good, decent).

Camp: Jugner Forest [S], north of the road that runs East-West (sorry, don't have a pos, I keep forgetting to check)
To get here: Either run from Batallia as far south as you can until you hit the barricade or warp to Jugner from your home nation and travel north. About the same amount of running either way.
Pet: War Smilodon (57-59)
Prey: War Smilodon (57-59)
Recommendations: A stack of jugs or Pet Food, WHM subjob for Paralyna etc., Reraise item
Charm Rate: 90%

This should not be mistaken for a GOOD camp. I simply could not take all that goes on in Garlaige Citadel anymore and had to get out of there. This camp is VERY dangerous for various reasons, the most obvious being a badly timed Roar from your prey. The upsides to this camp are A. it is vastly uninhabited, and B. Smilodon Hides have a not-terrible drop rate here (about 15%). From 57-58, I made enough off the hides to replace my Reraise Earring (which I used all of testing the waters here) plus another 30K (another Reraise Earring if need be).

I'll try to get a pos for everyone perhaps this evening, but more likely tomorrow morning, as finals are going on right now.
