Sorry for a stupid post, but does anyone know when this event is supposed to start? The website says midnight on Dec. 18th, but they don't specify a time zone, and there's no other information other than that. All things considered, since it wasn't midnight japanese time I'm gonna assume midnight pacific time like their maintenance schedule is?

I had been wondering this myself, so I confirmed:

The Starlight festival starts at 17:00 in Japan according to the official (JP) website. That's midnight PST between Tuesday and Wednesday. (So call it 11:59 pm Tuesday).

I love this event, I have had a blast so far but then again I really do enjoy all the Events SE vomits onto us. lol

Also, Sending people random tells and asking them what jobs they have may be a bit intrusive but even some Japanese companions were jumping on the train and asking me, It makes us all closer during Christmas time. :X

Thus far I've gotten Dream Boots, Dream Boots +1, and 3 different furniture items. One for each Kingdom. I wonder if the Dream Robe is obtainable? I lack one.

-the city-warp neckpiece for sandy, windy, bastok
-3 costume belts (worm, mandy, bunny)
-3 furnishings (dream stock, dream platter, dream coffer) place the items in your mog house to get a food item every real life day

fireworks (pop star, sparkling hands, brilliant snow)
food items (3 "EX" foods: candy cane, candy ring, roast turkey) + normal desserts (black pudding and 2 other cake items)

Dream Hat and Dream Robe can be purchased from the moogles (north sandy, windy waters, something-bastok)

also, there is city-to-city warp access, but must have holiday fame (giving gifts to the children in the city zones). Looks like holiday fame carries over from last year

As for the snow figures, I haven't found the qiqirns running around, only checked a few zones

The Qiqirns are for the New year's event since next year is the "Year of the Rat". You say that's where the snowmen come from? Guess we can't get those until the end of the month... :/

that comes from the smile-bringer quests, delivering gifts to the children in the cities.
