Questions i personally have, some have been answered, some havent, some have been proven some havent..

Digging limit is 100 digs per RL day (untill jst next day)
{meaning that if we dig after those 100 it will keep saying u find nothing}

choco raised by you > choco bought from npc (digging purposes only)

Choco with less speed > faster Running choco (digging)

stalves + weather help with elemental ore

rainy weather KILLS sucess rate of BIG MONEY dig findings

Best time to Dig is RIGHT after a maint since everything is supposedly reset and its possible to get even another free 100 digs
(if someone could verify the second part as true of false that would be great, if its relevant)

feel free to add anything and point out any helpful (virus free) sites that can help with digging.

anyone with a moonphase chart or guide that wants to pm it or post it here would be great too, opinions welcome but please no flames.

btw if anyone is wondering (capped A10 red digger choco) is what i use to make teh moneys / synth with when i get decent shit

I havn't followed the recent chocobo digging updates but this is what I belive...

A chocobo raised by you won't be better then a rented chocobo unless your grown up has burrow and/or bore.

Speed dont matter

Rainy weather won't matter

In one of the recent updates they made everyone have an individual item pool instead of shared like before (correct me if im wrong) so I dont think it's a set # of digs but you can dig until the item pool runs dry.

thanks for ur info as for the choco being raised with burrow / bore thats what i mean, bc mine has it tho i use to try digging with the npc choco when my whistle wasnt up and i got UTTER CRAP always it seems that they have made it kinda suck now.. the zones where id make 100-300k per session are now down to a mear 40-80k if im extremely lucky (not counting STACKABLE coins)

i started to notice a big difference in my results after one of the last 3 updates... im wondering if they snuck in a nerf when we werent looking..

This has not been my experience. I can still arrive to an area and have it dug out as recently as last week anyway. It sure would be great if they did that though... no more having to figure out where hasn't been dug out already. ^^;

There is no such thing as an A-0 because it's A-10 is the highest you can possible get since I have personally been an A-10 for almost 2 1/2 years now.

100 items is the max you can dig, not 100 greens used.

Moon phase does play a role in what you can dig (rare items become more attainable).

40-80k is a joke for digging, I'm still enjoying my 200-500k sessions (crafting what I dig), and more if I am going after element ores. Yes sometimes I hit 100k but I don't worry bout it, because it's pure profit and those days are VERY rare.

Watch timers and you can learn to dig with A-10s in zones. And I have learned the secret to Altep digging.

Yes if there is a maint one day and you have already dug your limit for that day. You will get 100 more digs once the maint. is done and the servers are live again.

Back in the day, it was either learn how to dig or GTFO. Took me along time to learn my tricks of how to dig in crowded zones.

Seriously, until he got it I didn't believe it existed either. But I have every reason to believe him and zero reason to believe you. Do you dig your full 100 every single day? Every one? For 2 1/2 years? Digging has been his focus for the entire time I've known him.

but i was just trying to get a bunch of things ive wondered about out in the open with peoples opinions

cuz alot of stuff i see now just is wierd, its like before those shitstorm of maints everything was fine, id make good money ok np dont matter who was digging ect ect

now its like, my best digging zone is complete BULLSHIT gil wise and it doesnt seem to reset even after jst midnight and im having to start digging get shit, warp exp log ect ect come back WAY later and try to dig sum more.. JST Midnight is 11 am my time. and sometimes it seems if u dont dig QUickly u get more loot then stew items. like id dig about 4 times, sit there for a bit (few mines irl) dig sum more rinse repeat.. SE really killed this shit if they updated it, as for i miss the old days where i could big money ALOT and have no real issues.

lol I've been A10 forever, I was A10 a year before the digging nerf was even an idea. If there were any higher levels I would have hit them aloooong time ago. I may have missed a day here or there but I'd say 1-2m digs ( we all know hard it is to geusstimate dig totals) later with no ding, ya I call bullshit.

Digging has been my focus for a long time too. It helped me fund everything in my sig including a kclub and ~7k away from my relic, I'd say I've been pretty focused.


I wouldn't contribute it too server lag or lag on his PC until I see a fraps of you waiting in a zone for him to come and he digs immediately then I will believe it. Also have in the same party so we can see exactly when he zones.

Everyone likes to say it exists but I have never seen Proof the one thing everyone leaves out.

Good posts Doa and like you digging has helped fund my relic since ive returned to ffxi. (laptops keep breaking down and shit)
and yeah ppl do say alot about digging, im usually (proof or gtfo) kinda person. reason i posted here was to get sum comments and relevant info on top of other hardcore digger experiences / recomendations (sp)

thanks guys if u feel like posting anything else (maybe not ss bc ive noticed once u post a ss of something like a big money dig it usually never happens again in said zone!)
