Ok so it's looking more and more like /Dnc is going to be a very useful sub for solo for most melees (possibly even good for flesh tanking yes lol but it's actually a sub worth looking at if they ever decide to fix flesh tanking hate.) Looking at some of the things /Dnc gives Drain Samba II, Curing Waltz II, Healing Waltz, and Animated Flourish (second voke anyone?)

Drain Samba seems to be very unclear as to what affects it but atm it just appears to be 1-75% of the dam dealt per hit (can be resisted.)

Curing Waltz II is straight forward ((Vit+Chr)/2 + 130)=amount healed (so far I haven't seen anyone saying that there's a cap.) Now Pld and War are the prime people to abuse this ability Koenig gear anyone?

Fort. Axe +7 Vit
Bibiki Shell +4 Vit
Koenig Schaller +10 Vit +10 Chr
Fort. Torque +5 Vit
2 Melody Earrings+1 +4 Chr (There are +3 vit and +3 chr earrings but they are from spending Einherjar Ichor so ya right)
Koenig Cuirass +20 Vit +20 Chr
Koenig Handschuh +10 Vit +10 Chr
2 Vit Rings +10 Vit
Knightly Mantle +4 Vit
Koenig Diechlings +10 Vit +10 Chr
Koenig Schuhs +10 Vit +10 Chr

+90 Vit +84 Chr Hume Base Stats 63 Vit 57 Chr(Guessing that /Dnc has close to the same as /Thf)

((153+141)/2+130) = A whooping 277 cured for 35 TP which is 3 hits from Fort. Axe.

If there is a cap I'm betting War or Pld will reach it.

The rest of the stuff is a lot more situational but for solo this is quite probably the best we have available.

Anyways please post you experiences if you've used this sub. As much as it seems like a totally wussy job this might finally give War the ability to solo decently.

The 277 uninterruptable unsilenceable hp curing is pretty sweet, especially with 22% double attack on a weapon that can proc two hits often already.

IMO NIN/DNC must be a beast... between the evasion + utsusemi and healing with tp... (this is for solo that is...) but yea warrior double attack is awsome, imagine SAM/DNC with meditate and store tp this opened up alot!

Ya Sam/Dnc with a soboro is for sure a a worth while addition a group doing events that is light on healers.

ATM Dnc itself seems to be a very effective healer but they really need a way to to get TP without meleeing. A lot of HNMs are going to be tough for a Dnc to gain TP off not to mention it has to sit in range take AoE dam without Stoneskin.

I'm leveling dnc right now, (lol13) and I'm totally going to use this as a sub on my main for soloing war (61) and nin (lol31).

Didn't SE mention something about giving war a bonus to tp gain while they have hate? That could definitely push it up to the level of pld and nin for tanking crazy shit.

And you have to love the voke dance for war/dnc, I mean you prance around like a fairy till your enemy looks at you, then hit them in the face with a two handed axe. There's just something impossibly epic about that.

Might get a way with back up healing but I'm not so sure about main heal. I'm not 100% but Sam doesn't have nearly the amount of Chr and Vit gear that War has available so they'd be able to cure more often but really they'd cure for small amounts each time. Even curing 250+ every 8 secs isn't really enough to main heal a flesh tank blink tank maybe but even then if the person gets their pants caught down it's nice to have that Cure IV/V level of healing. 2+ Melee/Dnc would be very hard to kill really though.

I tried soloing a ath spider *sp* at 65war/dnc. Didn't work out. Mind I was in normal att. gear. Hit way to hard.

So yeah, considering SE said they were going to make WAR a better tank this expansion and they said they wanted DNC to be the new tank sub this expansion I think this just might work. Two vokes? Hawt.

Oh and I meant to say, you probably don't want to be using Fort Axe and Bibiki Shell together..
