Just finished up a campaign battle in the Necropolis that went for 4 hours and 40 minutes. No idea how much xp I actually got, but the maximum possible was 25,200. This might be the longest single battle that I have ever seen.

Renewed tags approximately every 10 mins, so don't have a screenshot of the total score.

Do you still need to renew tags?
I thought they fixed it so you didn't need to.

There are still caps in place, but they're really weird at times. It's still a good idea to renew tags if you're not a multi-purpose job that can tank, DD, enfeeble, cure, etc.

This may not be a great example, but it should give a clue as to what I mean. If I'm beating up a fortification and not paying much attention, I can almost consistently get 800-900 xp in 10 mins (the max is 900). But if I continue to beat up the wall for a total of 25 mins, I might only get around 1100-1300 or so (max is 2250).

If I'm straight up DD'ing without much curing, enfeebling, or tanking I'll sometimes struggle to get over 2200 or so. If I'm doing a bit of everything the sky is the limit, especially if I'm tanking.

I have been getting 3k+ recently in the longer battles as 75MNK/DNC. I think the curing myself with /DNC helps quite a bit besides just doing damage.

I generally get 2-2.5k soloing on my Thief, although givin I never get the chance to solo more than one mob considering Odins campaigns are pretty crowded.

Q, so I see some SS the AN arent 1/2 what xp is, or close to but its =.

I am needing around 300k AN but i lack much time to grind in campaign, especially 300hrs lol.... So is there a trick to getting lots of AN? I know some ppl have claimed to have near a million, which is just crazy. Help!

There's no real trick to it, unfortunately. You'll just have to do everything possible that can earn notes.

Certain Campaign OPs can be done relatively quickly, and can yield around 1k notes each time. That's about 7k a week and you can do them all in one sitting if you wish. It's not a ton of notes, but it adds up over time.

There is a such thing as Moghancement: Campaign, but the description of it is unclear, and I haven't noticed a major change since getting it. This is from the Jeunoan Flag from one of the WoTG missions.

Here's what I've noticed about the XP to AN ratios: If your XP *is not* capped for the time spent in the battle, then your AN will generally be half of your XP. If your XP *is* capped for the time spent in battle, then your AN can exceed half of your XP and even surpass it. For example, Wings of Honor can pull in 90 xp a minute. A 10 minute battle will therefore cap at 900 xp for that particular rank. If you did not cap out and got for example 800 xp you'd generally get 400 notes. If you did cap out at 900 xp, you'd generally get anywhere from 450 to 900 notes depending on how much extra effort you had put into the battle.

Finding a good job combination and a good zone to go to are also key to getting a lot of notes quickly. Jobs that can DD, tank, enfeeble, cure, etc. are really good at maxing out xp. Finding a good zone depends on a lot of things and is server dependent. If the server AI decides that a nation is on the defensive and their corresponding beastmen are on the defensive, then battles in those regions aren't going to be very frequent and probably short. If certain douchebags hide half the beastmen army in the far corners of the zone so nobody else can find them yet alone get xp, then those battles will suck ass and take forever to end. Blacklist those fuckers and make sure they aren't in the zone you're about to enter.

And as a last note, I'll say that I've seen some pretty interesting but fairly short battles in Beaucedine. And hopefully with these changes next week Xarcabard will be feasible to fight in as well.

The theoretical maximum for XP is 5640 an hour, but given travel time, bad fights, etc. I'd say about 3-4k XP an hour is feasible. That translates to anywhere from 1.5k to 3k or so notes per hour. That's easily 100-200 solid hours of Campaign to earn that much from scratch. :(

I don't know what you're planning on buying, but that sounds about the amount for a full set of armor. At least you can do an hour or two of battle a day and buy it a piece at a time for a few months. And you'll be able to rank up a lot while doing it (if you aren't already at max rank).

I do think the prices of equipment are bit out of line, not everyone has been doing campaign since the start and have built up a few million notes in reserve. Especially since they're all EX.
