Anyway, to recap. Asmodeos, nobody said you botted. Sonix himself said that 11-13 bots were logged in but he also said that it wasn't their main accounts. I'm still waiting on some verification that Caudle botted from Timothay, too.

And as for what poisoned has done to personally affect us? They've taken away the endgame opportunity from linkshells that don't bot (or bot as hard, in the case of merc) as they do. I've been in several shells where any attempt to get motivation for HNM camping has resulted in "No thanks, there's no chance of anything happening but us wasting our time". That's why Sonix is surprised when there's as little competition as there is. He's looking for a challenge so he can validate his decision to use his intricate botting solution. Instead, nobody shows up but 30 poisoned members to HNM camps because the rest of the linkshells are too intelligent to waste their time in a futile shell game. That's what poisoned is doing to the whole Diabolos server.

As far as the "zomg, it was all made up" or the "Chewbacca defense" as it's called, just.. no. You can independently verify too many things about this chatlog for it to be false. Sonix's association (business) with the ffxiapp owner, the fact that n0thingowns is, in fact, here and verifying that the chatlog is true, that Sonix's aim is the one that's posted. Along with the fact that the stats to that point were correct (# of KB and Nidhoggs killed). I just hope that this information somehow makes it to SE's Special Task Force or whomever is in charge with anti-cheating.

One thing that's been bugging me is that there is no real connection between a server/client system and packet injection. Plus Sonix has said that he's had that screenshot up for 6 months. I think the server.png images are of their old bot, and not the new botting solution. Packet injection has to do with creating new packets external to the FFXI client, encrypting them, and sending them directly to the FFXI server. You know, packets such as "I have used ability X on monster Y". Things that can get around the claiming delay which, I think, is client-side. It doesn't make sense for a packet injection method to have to rely on more than one claimer since all you need is a single packet injection bot to claim.

There is. Camp against them and call a GM when they use their bots. If you don't camp against them there is no need for them to bot. If you camp against them and they don't use their bots, then you have a fair chance to win. If you camp against them and they use their bots and you can prove it, then call a GM.

If they harass you in any way, in fact, call a GM.

And especially, if you find incriminating evidence such as the timestamped log above, send it to the SE Special Task Force. It's the only way to send a message that hacking is not and will not be tolerated.

It's not about "getting the last laugh". It's not about "an eye for an eye". The only justice that we have is to be vigilant against cheaters. They abuse the rules of the system and are not getting caught. If there is no risk involved with cheating, then everyone will cheat. If there is risk involved with cheating, then cheaters will cheat on their mules. I do wish the policy would catch up with this method of cheating, as it doesn't cover this contingency yet. However I'm sure at some point in the future it will be handled correctly.

I can also confirm, Sprynex is Sonix........... this whole bot bit doesnt shock me a bit. If Poisoned were to bot, I'd expect their bot to blow Merc's bots right out of the water, so you can kinda tell by running a history check on Poisoned/Merc's sites to tell when Poisoned activated pwnmerc.exe. The real problem is the fact that Poisoned is simply monopolizing a large chunk of the end-game experience away from the rest of the server. If you cant pop it, and it has items of any value, you wont fight it.
