This trailer is going to be shown on the Playstation Home as well... it seems like SE is going all out with this.

I don't want to get people's hopes up but what else can be considered that big? A confirmation of a March release wouldn't be that big of an announcement.

Apparently this week they'll unveil a new gameplay feature instead of Vanille's Eidolon. Basically they say that all over Pulse (called Great Pulse in the game) there are certain "things" (not exactly clear what they are, maybe NPCs or terminals) that will allow you to select sub-quests to complete whenever you want. They'll also reveal some new creatures and apparently some of them like Adamantoise seem to be huge, Giant Cactuar seems confirmed as well.
Pulse is basically gonna host all the optional content of the game.

I just can't muster up any excitement for this game at all. I blame that idiotic theme song they always play.

I'm utterly amazed by that one video posted on GameTrailers with the subtitles. You can barely tell a difference between what is a cutscene and what isn't. And, the story so far looks like it'll be better than FF12.

It's a bit unfortunate that Final Fantasy has gotten more sci-fi over the past several iterations, but as long as the story lives up to it.

I'm currently uploading to YouTube a TV special aired in Japan on FFXIII. It will be up in a few hours. The video includes the music video for the title song, "Because You're Here" (君がいるから, Kimi ga Irukara).
