So, I am really dissapointed in the randomness of bad things that can happen to your bird. For about 7 days something bad happened to it everyday, from love sickness, injuries, sickness, injury again, love sick again, to depression. So my stats would not raise well at all now... today I just hit day 64. So here is what the bird's stats look like. I ask my question at the bottom.

Ok, so my bird has the unique beak, gallop, cantor, and on day 63, it had
Str: impressive
end: a bit deficient
disc:substandard
recep: poor

Ok now today is day 64, i've raised some birds in the past but i am not sure if it is worth finishing raising this bird.

I used 2 racing str tokens today, so i am not sure if it is borderline outstanding strength yet or not. My question is, is it worth taking this bird to the max days to try and get endurance and strength to max. I had my friend get me the 2 tokens because my previous bird only has FC str and impressive endurance with gallop. I do not really want to start over but I want to get this chocobo to the point where it can race.

Do you think it will be possible to cap out strength and at least get Above Average endurance w/o the tokens?

I don't think its possible to raise stats via care plans after day 64.

And yes, I feel your pain on the status effects... my bird had issues EVERY... SINGLE... DAY! it made me so angry.

I'd try doing a new bird.. you should at LEAST have two stats at FC by day 64, and a third above Poor...

Well tech, I did have Average Discernment at like day 26 or something like that. I did it to get the curved beak. My bird was born with cantor. I just don't want to waist my time trying to breed up another bird for a few months. Espically considering the next one I want is black cause i've had all other colors. Plus I do know care plans still help after day 64 it is just that they are no where near as potent. So I am pretty sure I can at LEAST* get its strength up to first class and endurance above average. Maybe then try and fiddle with its discerment with after retirement training or something. Unless someone on cerberus seems to have a black male chocobo with canter and gallop that I can breed my bird with for a better black chocobo rate.

Yes it is possible to cap your bird if you are willing to sink a lot of gil into it. Your best plan is to put it on carry packages and start racing. With those stats you should come in 2nd against a single super, 4th against all 3 and 1st against the regular birds netting you 26 chocobobucks. You can cap str and then all you need is end. Endurance is going to be the tough one for you since it is so low. You need to earn aprox 1120 chocobo bucks to cap str and 2800 additional to take end to first class. Yup a but load of chocobo bucks, hours of racing and 1,000's of gil. (one full stat increase takes 560 chocobobucks is racing ever day, 21 days and 73,700 gil for a total gil drop of......515,900)
