Recently i decided to take a break from typical haste/big three setup and try out some nukes and breaths. Ive never leveld black mage or used magical nukes on blu so im afraid to say i have no clue on what the enhancments of elemental staves are for blu magic magical spells.

Do they just lower resist rate? or increase damage aswell(not counting breaths obviously)

If someone could explain it would be greatly apreciated.

I tryed search function and nothing great came up so sorry if this has been asked before.

In regards to damage-dealing, they add 10% and 15% (NQ / HQ respectively) accuracy and damage

In regards to effects like Sleep, Silence, etc, they add 10% and 15% accuracy only.

well I know it has been done at least on Fairy and I'm curious to see some numbers. I've seen Mertron(a BLU) have what seemingly was a nuke setup against Fafnir(thunder staff etc) doing Mind Blast at least thats what it appeared like to me(sorry if it was'nt Metron but I like to see BLUs versatility) Anyway I'm guessing with a Lightning(HQ etc) Staff, some M.Atk gear and nailing Mind Blast on a Light skillchain might produce some nice numbers. If you can cast it about 1-2times every cycle like the BLMs and nail 500+ damage it might be worthwhile. I woulndt also mind seeing some fully merited Convergence nukes as well. I have not seen to many screenshots of overall general magic nuking numbers(good job covering Cannonball though ) so I am always interested to see what potential BLU has. Sigh..... if only I had more play time and wasn't stuck at 37BLU(stupid spells, but solo'd all the way) >.>

I remember reading about Mind Blast doing above 1k damage. My BLU is only 42 though but I did some research and saw that there are quite a few options for +MAB on BLU. Paired with Memento Mori, I can see Mind Blast doing comparable magic damage.

theres some setups for Mind Blast in the endgame forum I believe. Eyes on Me has some nice potential as well but I only got a chance to use it in Limbus though. Note sure how well it fairs against other stuff though. I know there was a person around here who did a lot of tests with Eyes on Me so maybe he add some more about that lol
