This morning I finally got Vali's Bow. This was the most horrific experience I have ever had in this game. And nothing short of sheer determination kept me going. That and having so much time invested into camping that I could not justify giving up.

I camped the bow for 26 straight days, and claimed Eastern Shadow 22 of the 26 pops I was present at. The bow did not drop on any of the kills I did not claim. The camp site was for the most part uncontested 75% of the time I was there on Titan. I had TH3 with me for about 8 of the pops. When I had THF help, I would allow the THF to get the final blow. However when I got the drop today I had THF in party, but he simply joined and went to work. I believe it was stated by the dev team at a dev panal in the last year that for TH to go into effect, the THF had to engage the target. So if that is the case, I don't think TH had an effect on my drop. I finally just got lucky.

So I was curious about others experiences. I know its said that bow is about a 15% drop. I'm not looking for that. I was rather curious about how many kills it took those of you who have gotten this bow to get it? Another member of my shell, Clovers, camped the bow in August and went 1/26. Not sure what most of you consider your drop rate, whether its number of pops present for, or number of claims. So whichever, I was 1/26 or 1/22 respectively.

Was I just ridiculously unlucky or are others of you having/had similar experiences? One thing is clear. Anyone who has this bow has gained my top respect in this game (aside from you 1/1 or 1/2 lucky bastards). Ebow can be purchased, and while I realize some of you camped your Ebow, Vbow owners must be highly regarded for their dedication and tenacity if this drop rate is the norm. I don't wish to see the inside of Fei'yin for as long as I continue to play. That much is certain. Good luck to you campers out there. Hopefully your experience won't be anywhere near the horrific 100+ hours I spent at that camp site.

Thf final blow doesn't matter. The engaging doesn't matter. Thf has to perform an action on the mob. So for example you don't need to engage to steal/mug from it, but no if he didn't touch the mob, he you didn't have TH. I'm not sure of the drop rate myself, but even if it was 15%, doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get 1 for every 15 kills, but your individual chance for each kill is 15%, which could take a long time. I never camped this myself, but I did spend 2 months camping argus for a final score of Argus: 1/4, Leech King: 3/22

Honestly they should just come up with a "Sympathy" system for characters who camp NMs to long and not get nothing so after like the 15th camp its a 100% drop for you instead of prolonging the pain of having to come back and do it another 15 times.

when i camped Eshadow i went down there at like 2 in the morning, killed 1 PH then 15 minutes later Eshadow spawned, i killed it and it dropped 1/1. i was at the camp site for about 30 minutes in all

1/2 out of 3 pops 1st pop claim no drop, 2nd pop no claim they got drop, 3rd pop got the drop.:)both of my claims were as RDM/WAR no TH. helped LS mate he was 1/6 with TH2+1 then camped it for, yes "for", my RL frinend as he was unable to make the pops due to his work schedule ended up 1/15 claiming all 15, this is a must for any RNG be it Vali's or Eurytos' GL!^^

Since I appear to have lost the screenshot of me getting Vali's Bow while in Whitegate (I deliberately saved it for just such a situation), I'll have to verbally rub in the fact that I got mine without ever having camped it. Gotta love Nyzul Isle assaults.

Did go 1/4ish back when Ebow was worth about 20M though.

Second day: The other guy was there again, started to talk with him and he tells me that he's been for over 3 weeks now... damn, didn't matter, i wasn't going anywhere until i got that drop... pops, i got claim, no drop.. oh well.. bit of luck.

Third day: Got there, hes there again, he wasnt answering my conversation so I just assumed he was afk... pop, the other guy started to move before me, hited chi blast and got claim, kill, got drop xD

i missed 1 claim but it didnt drop (THF TH4 :x).

Camped for just over a week straight a couple weeks ago, 4/9.. managed to get 3 in a row. ^^

I camped after one of the last maintenances. First day a guy got it. I have TH4, so I figured I would help him out of a gesture of kindness and good Karma. We kill it and he gets. The next day I botched the repop time, and was there late, but had homework so just stayed the rest of the day to see when it popped again. Someone else killed it early morning. So I was gonna go back and kill it, but was sick that day and couldn't go. The guy go the drop, and sent me a tell and gave me ToD since I had been the only one camping against him. I had dyna during the time it popped, but went after Dyna, and go in about 3 hrs after it opened, kill one placeholder, it pops. I kill and get Vali's. Sell back my Ebow for 2.4 mil. So officially I am 2/2 with TH4. Sorry about your luck.
