Hello.
I'm new on this forum. I'm currently on Asura playing Luame WHM THF 75. It's not related to my subject but as it's my 1st post here ...
I've spent some time exploring the new areas of Wotg, wondering if I can find any new NM. On the web, I couldn't find anything about that except for Campaign Battles' NMs.
I didn't found any though I found some interesting spots.
in Vunkerl Inlet [S] ( E-12 ) there is a throne room with 3 Giants VT and no targetable "???" or object. Could the Giant king pop here ? We spend about 2h killing the 3 giants but nothing.
Maiden's spring in Jugner Forest [S] seems heavily guarded by standing gnolls lvl 82. We didn't try to rush in due to their Moon related healing ability.
Do NMs show on .dat exploration ? I mean, if I can't find any informations on the web about Wotg's NMs, does it mean there aren't any ( yet ? ) cause the .dat have been checked or that they just don't know ( or people want to keep it for themself ? ) ?
I'll keep looking IG, especcialy at the giant's throne room ( though if our set-up can just kill "PH"s I'm not sure we can take a NM >< PLD THF SAM DRK/DNC )
if any of you shows some interest in this thread, I'll keep you informed.
Apologies for my english >< not my main language.
Have fun

The only NM i know about so far is that one random Sandworm NM that pops wherever it pleases and apparently offers nothing but a new Title should you defeat it.

As far as Ive seen there are none as of yet, though there are some spots that are just SCREAMING to be pops for NM.
Three in Vunkerl Inlet (S) being a cave on one side that dead ends with a single little EP to 75 bat in it, the aformentioned thrones, as well an outcropping facing the waterfall with like 20 agro to sight mobs all nicely bunched up between two bridges.
Another note about the throne and gigas, on the way to that area there is a Goblin who mentions the gigas champions and lolMimas specifically. Whats really interesting is all the gigas are named with the constant theme of seafaring titles. on the side with the thrones there is another gate that isnt targetable/active yet and leads a path up to what seems another zone. I assume we're going to see some kind of gigas ship yard perhaps.

There's a article on the Gigas and where their from on FFXIclopedia:
The Gigas were originally from an island far to the north of Quon. Every few decades, the Gigas send a large ship to Qufim to attack the Hume settlements. Their goal is to retrieve supplies and slaves to take back to their homeland. Before the Great War, the Shadow Lord recognized the potential that lay in the giants, and hired a large number of them to fight as mercenaries. After helping to construct Castle Zvahl, the Gigas led the beastman frontline in laying siege to many of the allied forces' fortresses. However, when the beastmen lost the war, the remaining Gigas were left trapped, unable to return to their homeland in the north. With nowhere to go, they set off for Qufim and Delkfutt's Tower, where they remain today--out of reach of the allied armies.
It also mentions that they are excellent ship and castle builders.
