Ok, I am a 60SCH currently. earlier today I sat down and mapped out all my gear swap macros fro LVL. 75, I have everything set in stone except one slot. I've read Helix Spells are greatly affected by your INT vs the mob's INT. And resist rate aside what weapon would be better for Helix nuke damage? HQ Staves or Kirin's Pole? I'm assuming HQ Staves, but I'd like some more feedback before I set that decision into stone.

Assumptions:
Ignoring resists entirely (100% land rate)
You get the 15% bonus from HQ staves on helixes
Rambus's dmg formula
Helixes landing for 66 or less damage - kirins wins: 66*1.15 = 75.9(75dmg/tick) vs 66+10(76dmg/tick)
Helixes landing for 67-73 dmg - tie: 67*1.15 = 77.05(77/tick) vs 67+10(77/tick) - 73*1.15 = 83.95(83/tick) vs 73+10(83/tick)
Helixes landing for 74 or more damage - HQ wins: 74*1.15 = 85.1(85/tick) vs 74+10 (84/tick)
Pretty sure this is the case.

HQ Staves are great, especially for not getting resists. I'd personally never use Kirin's pole.
Anything I use helix on, usually doesn't land for under 66, and anything higher up, like jailers, i'd want the HQ staff on for less resist.
Kirin's Pole is still a great Stoneskin staff though =P

The base damage of your spell would have to be ~ 5 for it to be better, lol

if you can get away using ice on the mob it would be best to use cryohelix.
if it is on something you can not use ice on you could try maching the weather buff spell to the day and use kirin pole.
kap you have to understand you are dealing with a spell that follows the same damage formula as aero I (25 base with 1 TIM)
if you are nuking something with that high enough int to drop your normal damage below 74 or w/e you are porb better off not using helix and go with IV spells.
where helix does brake 100 damage, pretty easy on any non-god stuff or non wyvern/khim/ cerb/ types best off matching weather buff matching day with matching staff...
