I always told people about how I compared Siren to other servers ive played on with friends in real life, you can truly notice the quality of players, although we do have rookies and sore losers like Arison. He repeatedly got owned over and over with his THF by my BLU in uncapped Pash. Marshlands. It was a 5 vs 5... After the match he blamed me for cheating, he told me I hacked because Loks (MNK) was missing a lot more often than my meleeing and spells....Ok I havent met a THF who can evade Disseverment more than 1/4 of the time, and Ive tested against THF/MNK with full evasion gear. Actually I think Ive only missed one Disseverment with Shadows up, and no acc gear except Chivalrous chain. I've come to the conclusion that Physical Spells are not the same as Melee, they are based on weapon acc, but are also based on BLU magic skill right? Everyone should know by know physical spells have a extra acc to them, so how can you call some one a cheater for something so common lol. I have 6 blu merits, and 8 sword merits + Suppa....I will be putting up some screen shots tomorrow. And now a reply to Temadian's Post:

When i first saw Loks which I didnt know you guys knew each other, I thought it was some noob learning to play, same with some other guy named Gnstinger etc....So I didnt go easy on them due to the fact that I wanted to beef em up if they were ever on my team XD Quality over quantity, I enjoy smaller ballistas with good players than massive ones with idiots committing suicide. But he is actually a good player already, same with other new faces Ive seen, Malorie transferred from "I forgot where" and she actually plays a good WHM ^^ Now I knew I saw your name some where, now that I saw your post I remembered, Ive seen you in the past 2 or 3 ballistas Ive played in the past week, I'm Griever ^^ We need more players on Siren so come on down! this has nothing to do with THF eva at all, we all know the 3 big spells are gonna own anyone w/o def no matter what the eva is. this is another reason why people quit ballista and hate blu's, because they worked so hard getting their eva merits and gear yet something so simple cant be avoided. also spells are more accurate then anything in game, thats why the only way it doesnt have an effect is if its resisted, but you cant resist physical spells only reduce their dmg.

no matter what people say theres no such thing as "fuck i missed so and so or 1 2 3 4 hits on this spell" Disseverment is a 4 hit spell so only way to "miss" is with nins Ni but it still isnt a miss because you still hit all 4 shadows. imo magic acc isnt something very important, SE would have more items/gear for magic acc if it was so, i can only think of the earring maybe rdms relic af and a zeniths piece.

And actually I thought Disseverment was a 5 fold hit like Hysteric Barrage, I heard somewhere it was 4 from the other guys post, but I also know its not going to miss, which is exactly my point, how can some one call you a hacker and a cheater when it's something so obvious and common that everyone knows, what surprised me really is that this person has been playing ballista as long as I have....it's people like that, that don't belong in ballista. I actually don't mind BLU in uncap, they are squishy, I just don't stand still when ones on me, they have to have a still target to cast the spells, blastbomb is not fast enough for sprint and while people are already running, the BLU has to cast it very close to you so you wont run out of range, I really dont see why so many people complain about BLU, especially when I play RNG and BST and NIN too, I guess Im just used to it >.>

I'm only blu 37, but can I point out a few observations...

- BLU spells are learned when monsters use TP
- BLU spells are Weaponskills that cost MP
- Someone thinks they should be able to evade BLU magic
- How many weaponskills do you evade? and how often? (without flash or perfect dodge in the equation)


blu is overpowered?

- can you kill a RDM or PLD by yourself, and quickly?
- can you run away, or even walk backwards?
- can you avoid heavy hitting jobs? (MNK for example)


The only thing that is broken about BLU, imo, is SA- Cannonball, and the range on it.
BLU/THF goes down faster than that with an acid bolt, which someone on your ballista team should be able to provide.

If a MNK dies to lolsavage balde and cannonball SC, then he isnt gearing right, or isn't using the right SJ.

also, that requires JA > WS > Spell, which is quite alot to get off in a fast paced match.
Ive seen it done maybe 4 times, and while it is impressive, the savage blade is unlikely to do more than 100-200. and a ~6TP CA cannonball isnt gonna push 600 dmg to do a further 600 DMG light SC (that would have to go unresisted). If that happens, its still only 1300-1400 DMG, and the mnk should have started bailing on the BLU back into their team after he sees CA then Savage blade.

imo, Sekkanoki is alot more broken. Tachi: Hobaku (~100dmg and stun) to Tachi: Gekko (600+ with hagun, and Silence) and Fragmentation (anywhere up to 75% dmg of Tachi: Gekko) is alot more threatening to any mage or melee. (Tachi: Gekko > Tachi: Kasha can also be used, which will do more than a BLU's solo SC.)


All this is besides the point, you're not going to miss a 4hit WS (or spell) very often, and because THF has about 200 DEF, the hits that don't miss are going to hurt.

Second off: Disseverment is 5 hits. it always has been.

3rd: Bitch some more about THF evasion going down the tubes vs Blue Magic. But something already killed Evasion whoring long before BLU hit the scene. Ever hear of Sushi? Try some.

4th: while BLU/WAR is nice, it leaves you open to magic (even with Zephyr Mantle, assuming RDM is smart enough to wipe first.) Like any other non-NIN sub. From there a RDM, BLM, even WHM can pretty much lock you down a whole match until you turn your attention to him/her. But heavy melee like MNK tend to guard those pesky back line jobs... such a dilemma.

5th: zomg BLU so broken. We've been over this a million times, there are those who know how to kill a BLU, and those who don't. What's so broken about a job that has almost 0 dmg without it's high MP cost spells? Yea I can mow through about 2 or 3 people lightning fast... then hope for Ethers for the next 10 minutes. Meanwhile some skilled RDM (I emphasize on skilled) can kill about 10 people without going below half MP through sheer DoT spells. It may not be as quickly, but it's the same ends. Different means.
I'd rather be 1 shotted than be slowly tortured for 5 minutes (which deprives your team of your assistance btw.) Or even better: Gravity'd by that RDM so their team can all whore GB off you. BLU can get GB for himself most of the time, RDM gets GB for the team.
