hauby eva- and agi- sucks. homam body has more def and i the main reason why i use it is the mp and hp. and its better for pld/rdm than gallant surcoat+1.

thanks. but i do find it boring to stand there and just let auto attack do all the damage, why when i can do more damage by hitting from the side or back. its more challenging and more fun. if u dont like it thats fine, just dont tell me how to ballista. in a real ballista no one is gonna stand still for you.

Ironically, it's actually Rufio who does the run around stuffs. I'm usually doing it to counter him lol

I've no problem with a stand up fight. Puts me at a much larger advantage than my opponent (unless it's another PLD. then it's dead even.)

i wasnt trying to tell u how to ballista i was just stating that two fully shield merited plds vs each other would still be even, runing around or not imo. which is also why i added "but i dont know yall merits".

And that's the thing Vijitt, the moving around bull that most people disagree with... it's one of the only ways to gain an advantage over your opponent. You see his HP/MP? He had me outmatched by over 100 on both categories (well... maybe not MP) In a straight up fight, stat vs stat, he'd have a much higher chance of winning than me (unless his strategy/gear is inferior, which is hard to pick up on).

Yes we're both fully merited in the shield department, but part of ballista (especially 1v1's) is taking your foe's advantage that he has over you away from him.

It's not just PLD either, Counter build MNKs, bolt spamming THF or RNGs, even SAM or NIN with full Parrying builds are alot harder to take down when you give them their advantage over you. Take it away however... and you're in for a much more interesting fight.

Besides.... you think that fight was long? Imagine if we both had to eat away @ each other through the other's shield. Would've lasted all day. :dozingoff
