So now I go out and solo a few mobs and then head to a few campaigns. The first thing I notice is I'm gettin hit left and right, I can't evade for shit compared to when I'm solo'ing the same shit on my mnk, which has the same evasion rating. I'm having more difficutly staying alive on dnc/nin than on mnk/dnc (with drain samba II and afk while I'm getting a drink) of the same mob. WTF, really? I think we got some false advertisement on dnc eva. The shit is unbearable for me and I'm getting ready to retire my solo purpose dnc and just stick with mnk for solo'ing.

Campaign mobs are extremely accurate.It's just not dancer, it's like that for all jobs. Just ditch the evasion setup and DD all out on them.

Tanks don't provoke, healers don't heal, sleepers don't sleep.
Everyone just melees.

Back on topic, Dancer has the 3rd best evastion in the game. (Behind Ninja and Thief)
Its most likely the fact your fighting Campaign mobs as they are extreamly accurate.

So........ If ppl already have 75 mnks, should we just take dnc to 37 for subjob purposes? Cuz I think evasion builds are the dumbest things in this game.

Yes you should have /dnc sub for MNK or most melee subjobs, it can be useful for soloing things with irritating shadow-wiping like thf or mnk mobs that don't hit very hard, but it also makes you useful as a support in smaller group events, for monk, it's a nice hate grab.

Just got DNC to 37 and all I can say is wow. I can solo T Pucks in Den of Rancor. I'll be able to finish capping guard now SOLO, without having to rely on two boxing. I think this is gonna be my new sub for Salvage too, its superior to /Nin in so many ways.

DNC is 4th I think; THF > PUP > NIN > DNC

Pup has a B Evasion skill plus 3 Eva Bonus traits while Dnc has B+ skill and 3 Eva Bonus traits.
So Dnc is slightly better in Eva then Pup and as for ether of em being better then Ninja its hard to say.
Ninja is A- Eva skill but I don't know how the traits that DNC and PUP gain would factor in.
Skill wise it goes THF > NIN > DNC, MNK, SAM > PUP then every other job has C or lower eva.
I'd have to say the 4 best evastive jobs thanks to skill/traits/gear are THF,NIN,DNC,PUP.

It's only really noticeable when comparing to other jobs on ep or dc mobs imo- I go out and kill colibri on drk and those things hit me a good percentage of time time (or are anticipated by third eye)- same on war and cor and sam a little less- I kill them on dnc and there are times when they dont land a single hit even with no shadows before I kill them. amazing what 31 more eva will do (and those traits of course).

One thing I have noticed is since we use low delay weapons and maybe a Joytoy the fing campaign mobs can and will counter us to fin death rather quickly damn orcs lol. A Campaign mob's counter can hit for retarded amounts of damage I been countered for 3 to 4 hits in a row for over 1k damage and a quick death where I couldn't get a heal off I died so fast.

I been soloing with dnc for a fair bit now. Our evasion is not bad at all and we can certainly make up for it with fast healing. The reason we get countered so much is because we have low dagger and sword skills. With my samurai 304gk skill i almost never get countered.

Did any of you read his question? He said he evades MORE as a monk than he does as Dancer. Not that he's having a hard time soloing anything in campaign. It's the same mobs, on two different jobs.

It's ok Veg, just stay as monk in campaign. Dancer can't blood tank like MNK can anyways. I just eat the damage and cure it right up. Broke 3k so many times it's amusing.

My Dnc can solo the regular campaign mobs alone and not get touched, I can also solo a few yag bosses, Like Grim and Elusive. He just doesn't have all the right gear.
