How much is needed?
I'm currently 71, and I noticed that even with my SH+1, O. Hat, and Tuna Sushi, etc., I'm still missing more than 50% of my swings. I know our sword skill is shite, but I figure with all the equips and BRD buffs, I'd hit at least half the time.
(This was at Mamool Ja Staging Point, I do ok on Imps, but I tried to avoid the Mire like my gf on her special days. >.>)
Basically, I'm asking how is it at 75? I'll prolly put in a few merits if I have to, but I would rather not. The melee gear I have for my RDM is a haste setup, but as things are, I'm really worried I might actually have to carry my O.Hat at 75, and I would rather not.
This is my planned setup for DNC:
Main Kard
Sub Joyeuse
Range War Hoop
Ammo N/A
Head Walahra Turban
Body Scp. Harness +1
Hands Dusk Gloves
Legs Pln. Seraweels
Feet Dusk Ledelsens
Neck Peacock Charm
Back Amemet Mantle +1
Waist Swift Belt
Ear1 Suppanomimi
Ear2 Hollow Earring
Ring1 Ulthalam's Ring
Ring2 Rajas Ring
Also, how is the damage at 75? I see myself hitting for 0 every once in a while, and 0 TP return makes me sad. =(

This is a nice setup (Although i TP in raparee harness, we have hella acc xD)
I want to get denali and Pahluwan ^^ I would stick with Haste > Acc though for the most part..That is alot of acc you are listing and the extra haste is a + for dnc~ Keep your turban
!
Just my opinion though, i'm glad someone posted a thread over this.

I'd replace 2nd ear with Brutal, Pahluwan for Rapparee, and Pahluwan for Barb Zerephs for a standard TP build.
I usually have 3 sets on me. A full blown haste build, a full blown acc build, and a mix between the two.
On birds, I'm more than comfortable doing full blown haste (with sushi so have to watch hate here)
On standard mamools, I can also go full blown acc with no problem.
On Mamool nins, I usually use my mixture of gear and do fine acc wise
On Mamool Lurkers, I use my full blown acc build, and have some difficulty, but not much.
If you're in a camp where theres more high eva mobs like Mamool nins and Lurkers than anything else, then I'd personally go dagger/dagger

Also you said you were doing 0's. I'd probably ditch the Kard and use an Adder Jambiya+1/Adder Jambiya/BeheKnife+1/Jambiya. Any of those ftw.

@ Surrie
I always use Harness first when I hit camp to see if my accuracy is ok. Otherwise, the SH+1 is the most acc I can get on one slot, so I figured it would be best to use with Joyeuse.
@ lolineedtoskillupmyswordcauseonrymyh2hiscapped
I thought Brutal Earring lowers the rate of Joyeuse proc or something? I've read the discussions but everything seems so inconclusive. Also, I don't have a group to do Ashu Talif stuff with, so I can't get those sexy pants. I have Dusk+1 though... lol
@ sexytaru
I could have been hitting the Mamool WHMs' Stoneskin and didn't realize it. I have yet to go back and try again. I really don't want to give up my Kard since I believe in maximizing Waltz as much as possible without too much enmity.
P.S.
I'm all purple now! D: I just hit 72 and my accuracy went way up with Suppa/Hollow. Not to mention I'm hitting like a maniac with my haste build + WHM haste + March + Samba... poor Imps. XD

That would mainly be for ridill instead of Joyeuse. From what I understand, if DA procs, then the additional effect won't have a chance to. So with ridill that means you can possibly DA at a potential shot at 3 attacks, but with joytoy you're either going to replace a non proc with a DA or a proc with a DA. So it will have no effect on a strike that would have proc'd in the first place but still has a chance to proc for those attacks that would have been single hitters. Also, it can proc for dagger as well.

brutal def doesnt hurt the joytoy, if anything it helps it a ton. i play on my friends pld with a joytoy and brutal for over a year and when i got my joytoy for dnc i thought it was broken til i bought myself a brutal. when you have the brutal earr quipped it helps out a lot IMO. or its just a placebo for me...
i think what above posted said is right, if one procs the other wont, but thats still a higher chance of just one procing alone. for a 3+ hitter you wouldnt want brutal since it might alter a 5 hit round into just 2, but since 2 is max for joytoy brutal is awesome.
and ya, brutal procs for your main hand dagger obviously too.
for xp (when i xp'd to 75) i tried out joytoy but didnt like it too much, id miss enough that i wasnt gaining any more tp then 2 daggers would have.
when i solo sharks and aerns in sea for organs, or even when i fought bugbear x3 for rutters i used joytoy and hit those just fine without accur food and with evasion gear on.

Are you parsing or just eyeballing it? I highly doubt your acc is actually below 50%

Both. Since my parse only shows my totals hits, I eyeballed how often my dagger missed (which was about 1/35ish) and figured out how many misses I had minus my dagger misses.
I just hit 75 and with my full haste setup and switched in brutal for hollow as advised, I ended up missing more, but the amount of sheer swings more than made up for it and had a pretty sexy TP gain. Main healing at Mamool Ja Staging Point, using Tuna Sushi, my TP never went below 180% spamming CW 3 and DW, full-time DS3.

The game's accuracy cap is 95% so the best you could do for misses is 1/20. Sorry, but you need your eyes checked

Just because the cap is 95% doesn't mean 5% will *always* miss. It's always chance, and it's possible (but highly improbable) to it 30x in a row.
But on that basis of 95%, let's say 20% of my dagger count as misses. My TP gain is still exceptional with the amount of misses. In other words, I think in gear, Accuracy+20ish (with suppa, no merits) and sushi is good enough for Joyeuse for TP Gain. I'll do more constructive parses. I just hit 75 and haven't had the chance to do birds and mamools without BRDs.

Brutal will only give a 2.5% increase to Joytoy (I can explain why but I don't really feel like unless you really doubt me) it's still probably the best earring to wear with Suppa given that your main receives the full 5%.

I'll take a stab at that one. Joy has a 45% proc rate, so there's about a 50% chance that your DA would've been a proc from the joy anyways. So you have to cut the increase in half to account.
Your level has a lot to do with accuracy. 70-75 in particular, I noticed the largest change in my hit/miss ratio happened when I lvl'd. Capping the skill on an A+ weapon barely changed it, and the same could be said for the gear that I changed out as I went up. Just my two cents, but the problem wasn't your gear, you were just over-hunting for your level.

The level of your character relative to the mob has a huge impact, according to the damage formula. You take a 10% penalty for every level the monster is over you, and a 10% gain for every level the mob is under you.
