Puppets are 100% completely controlled by a master.
Avatars are supernatural beings that you have to fight just to deem yourself worthy of their help.
Pets like crabs well, I hardly believe I could even teach one to follow me, let alone sick an enemy.
Why on earth is it that out of the 3 pet jobs, the one that in actuality should have 100% control has the least control? Jeff Dunham's puppets do exactly what he wants them to do. Why not give PUP's a job based entirely around their pet, a little more control so we're not considered to be such utter failure. I'm stuck at 59 because my puppet decides he wants to cast cure 4 on himself at 75% HP when there are party members with 10% or less HP. And then you have the ranged pet which isn't too shabby on colibri. Except one problem, he does have a habit of pulling hate, stoneskin and oils only go so far with 3 minute cooldowns. Now I'm out of the entire base of my job for what usually ends up being 10 minutes or more.
I just need to vent, I loved the concept of the job, even had a lot of fun with it when I could get invites. But I think I'm done. Or taking a long break at 59. I keep going back to it just because I got it this high but every time I'm just disappointed. And I'm not even gonna get started on gear. I've already vented so many times about that joke.

I really think the purpose of all the mage gear for PUP was for you to use a mage SJ. A group of my friends in an old LS did BST/WHM BST/WHM PUP/WHM trio static and they still got to 75 before I got DRG to 75 in normal parties.
